My thoughts on The Secret

I have just finished watching this. Angel first and foremost, I want to thank you for sending it to me. I will be sending it on to the next person who wants to watch it

I really loved this dvd. It's funny, but I have always had this weird optimism even when other people are down about the exact same situation. My husband just couldn't understand how I could be grateful for challenges and trials in my life, how I don't have regrets about bad things that have happened to me. Watching The Secret made me realize that I already have a lot of the thought patterns it brings up, and it also taught me that I can improve those thought patterns. Instead of telling myself, "OK, I don't want to have this baby weight anymore," I can tell myself,"I'm going to reach my optimal weight, and I am a beautiful person right now as well."

I really loved the story about the man who bought his dream house and didn't even realize it. He had created a vision board with a huge mansion that he wanted later in life, and not until he bought THE EXACT HOUSE IN THE PICTURE, did he realize that his positive thoughts led him to buy that house.

I have a huge challenge in my life in dealing with my husband's ex wife. If only she would watch The Secret and apply it, I think she would be able to move on and stop causing us so many problems. I'd love to anonymously send it to her somehow.

In the meantime, I am going to tell myself and think that my step-son will be coming to live with us. I am going to focus on the happiness that thought brings me. I know it will happen someday.

Thank you so much for sending this dvd. It really opened my eyes. I have a lot to learn, but I have always tried to remain positive, I don't always succeed, but I plan to try a lot harder from now on.

well done sweety,you have seen exactly what I wanted you to see in it.I knew you would.I trully hope you can get more of what you want and less of what you don't.I knew you already thought somewhat along these lines.Georgi was the same.But there are some little methods on there that are just so helpful.The affirmations,the gratitude and the vision boards and how to REALLY use them ad FEEL what you want!I totally believe this! I look forward to seeing what it bring you.I hope you make a vision board as well!One more for our collection!

I'll see if DH wants to watch it, he works for a company called Quma learning. If you want to hear something funny DH's boss, has written 3 books on the power of positive thought, and apparently the guy who wrote The Secret took my hubby's boss's seminar course a while back, and then soon after came up with The Secret. I have seen both my husband's boss's dvd and The Secret and there are some big differences but all in all, the power of positive thought is a great message and I believe it is something we should all implement into our lives.

I fully intend on making a vision board.

That's fantastic Tiff....if you are able to keep a copy of the DVD for yourself it's worth while and every so often you will find that you have days that you feel low and negative...we are only human afterall!! but on those days it is worth while just to watch the secret again and remind yourself how important it is to continue to think positive thoughts and visualise!!

Started reading the book today! Only 13 pages into so far though.

I think you all know what my main focus is right now. Haven't gotten into the vision board concept yet, but I had already decided that I'm going to find a Baby's First Christmas cross-stitch pattern and make a Christmas ornament......dated 2009.
