I hate packing for trips

Post  dolly's momma on Wed Oct 14, 2009 5:09 pm

I hate hate hate packing for trips. I am sure I will still be doing this at 3 am. grrrr.

We are going to Mn and they have been telling us all along it is going to be in the 50s. So I got Lucy clothes and just got them all ready to pack and for fun checked weather/com. Oh no, its only going to be 40s day low 30s night and rainy! I do not have clothes for icy weather! Poor kid is going to be layered with her entire wardrobe til she looks like the stay-puff marshmellow baby!

Part of the reason I will still be packing at 3 am is I am lurking about here instead of packing.

I know! We just got back from Chattanooga and it was supposed to be in the 60's but it was 49 the morning we came home. I had to make a Target run and get Owen some warmer clothes!!!!!

Hope you had fun on your trip!

Just one more day of the pain in the other end portion of the trip (his family). Tuesday we drive down to my mom's and get to have a more relaxing time. As expected the two older kids are acting up big time. I am pretty tired of being confined in a hotel room with them. Sorry if that is not very motherly sounding, but it is the truth.

Today grandpa looked at pellet guns with my son, who threw a tantrum in the mall because we said there was no way he was getting one. Meanwhile we let his sister go to her cousin's house without us, where she showed her appreciation by stealing a makeup set and part of some one's rock collection. She had a tantrum melt down in the restaurant at dinner.

Poor Lucy gets no respect. She tries to have a tantrum when she doesn't get her way and I just laugh at her. Her older siblings have sooo ruined the drama for her.

Wow. At least your trip has been eventful(j/k). Hopefully they'll act better with your family. And hopefully Lucy doesn't start picking up their negative behaviour.
