Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
Well I'm back! I think it went really well, most of it I already knew but he still went through everything with us again.
Basically I get to start treatment whenever I want. When I am ready I need to let the know a week before I am due to start my period so they can book me in, they only do 15 couples a month so it's important to book in. I think we are probably going to be looking at August because we are going away in July so I want to start when I get back. He said that will be no problem and thinks it's good to start after a relaxing break.
As I suspected they don't want to put 2 embryo's back in me because of the risks with multiples. Apparently 1 in 4 IVF pregnancies are twins or triplets and there are too many risks with my small uterus. Because they are only putting a single one back in they will wait untill day 5, when they put more than one in it's normally done on day 2. Waiting untill day 5 should increase my chances.
All in all he said we are very good candidates for IVF and he has high hopes but we still have to be realistic and expect a 50 / 50 chance of it working. He is trying to change the way our cycle is funded too. They have just changed it and as it stands we will have to pay for egg freezing and storage but he is going to re-apply for the new funding to try and get the freezing and storage paid for by the NHS.
Think that's about it.

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
Mel - you sound really upbeat about it all! It's helpful when you have a doctor that is on your side too!
I think waiting to start after your vacation is a great idea! I hope the doctor can get the freezing and storage paid for!
That would be so helpful!!!!!!

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
Mel, I think this is WONDERFUL news! I'd jump at a 50/50 chance right now, and I bet you do too. And the fact that you can get sooo much of this paid for must relieve a lot of stress (wish it was that way here). So now you can take it easy for the next couple of months. De-stress, de-worry yourself. Focus on all the positives, and let happen what will happen.
Did they explain how the eggs are harvested? How many will embroys will they freeze? Just curious.

Oh, I just checked out Georgi's chart....very nice! Wow, I wonder if the soy really is helping you? Ovulation on CD17 seems to be a big improvement for you! YEA! And yes, any BDing during that time? Hmmmm?

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
Mel - That is fantastic it sound's like it was a really positive experience, a 50/50 chance is actuallly really FANTASTIC when you consider there is only a 20% of conceiving naturally each cycle, of course I know which route you would have preferred but that wasn't to be and this is!!!!
Emma - I took soy isoflavones available from Holland & Barretts, 4 capsules from CD3 to (& including) CD7 it was Toffee actually who sent them to me (thanks again Toffee!!) it does look as though they have made a HUGE difference to my cycle botyh BEFORE and AFTER ovulation but I am keeping myself grounded until we see what happens next cycle, if I ovulate earlier again then I will be be thrilled and I will happliy say Soy helped me!!!!

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
Emma before you take soy you may want to do some research on it first. From what I read you aren't supposed to take it if you have endometriosis. I was about to start taking it when I read up on it and it put me off. Just thought it was worth a mention hun so you can look into it and make an informed decision.
Thank you everyone for your kind words! I still have 3 full cycles before we start IVF so there is still a chance I wont need to go that route (hopefully!!!!) I am really happy with the clinic though, they have the highest success rate in the midlands and the second highest in the country. Makes me feel like I am in good hands

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
Yes! but we used the withdrawal method.
My chart is looking good but lif you look at my other charts you'll see that my temp has done this before only to start dropping after 8/9dpo, we'll see what tomorrows temp brings before I start letting myself get excited!

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
Mel,I think I mentioned before, thats having read lots of stories.I have seen couples try and try for years (9 is the longest i have heard of this) and then suddenly once they get they're date for IVF/IUI they get pregnant by themseleves. It's extremely common. One theory is the lady finally allows herself to relax enough to fall pregnant and isn't waiting desperately, terrified and expecting faliur.Who knows, but this is VERY common. If you ask at most fertilitly clinics. They have couples book in at their witts end, only to fall pregnant a month before their appointment LOL.I hope this is the case for you!Try not caring and see if it works!LOL hugs ! xxx
