Welcome
my chart is so whacky, but I love it! hehe. Usually it can appear quite flat.

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
hi lindzee, welcome! I see by your April chart you DID ovulate, just very late in your cycle. Don't lose hope! It does take some several cycles to recover after birth control. Sounds like you are on the right track by trying to become aware of your body and cycle. Did you have regular cycles before you were on birth control.
Emma, looking forward to soy for you this cycle. Hope it makes a good difference!
I thought about testing again but my temp went down for the 3rd straight day so I thought who in the heck am I trying to fool? lol.
Angel, I know you weren't condenscending! But I admit, I lose track of the past 5 really good cycles sometimes when I think of the 19 ones previous to those. Guess I need a good reality check every now and then.

lindzee wrote:Hello ladies,
I am new around here and it was suggested to pop by here!
Good luck to all you ladies who are trying!
A bit about me: I went off bcp in January and am on my fourth cycle since then. I have charted three of those cycles, which have been very irregular. The first cycle I charted was 61 days long and the last one was 48 days. I am really hoping this third cycle will be more normal in length. I took 100mg soy on CD 3-7, so we will see if it helps! I also bought preseed to try as well. I am trying to cover all my bases. Here's to hoping!
Welcome Lindzee!!! Just wanted to let you know that I was on the pill for 6-7 years and took me about 7 months to get pregnant. It can take a matter of months or even consider years to conceive. Anyways hope your journey is a short one!!

I think it is funny that we are on the same CD! I am still waiting to O and am hoping it will be sometime this upcoming week and be a little earlier than my last cycle. Any sign of O for you?
Gutter- yes, i did O last cycle, which is good, but it was late in my cycle. The cycle before that I O'ed on CD 48! So I hope the days keep going down til it is in somewhat of a normal range. I hope my ttc journey is not too long either, thanks for the kind words!

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
lindzee, I hope you do ovulate soon! I'm sorry, I can't remember...are you temping? Are you going to try using OPKs?
So what blood tests are they going to do Emma?
I go to the doctor myself on Tuesday, well nurse practioner actually. Here in the States we get pap tests done annually so that's what the appointment is for. As you all know (or guessed) by now, I did not get my
this past cycle despite taking that mega-dose Clomid I had been hoarding for at least 8 months. I'm really not sure what my next step is or if there is one. I can ovulate now (and our timing is just fine) but I'm guessing the egg quality is not good enough for fertilization. Not sure if there's a "cure" for that. I'm going to ask for more Clomid, but I really don't know if I can get a script. If I can't, well, I admit that after Emma made a comment about it, I have thought about getting some online from an out-of-country place. I've even looked at a couple of websites. Makes me nervous for more than one reason though.

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
galaxy - Good luck with the blood tests, I am hoping all will go well for you. [And with your gyno referral as well]
sparkles - I was wondering if your O date was a bit later what with those two temp dips in your LP. Maybe you will still be pregnant?? It's not over til
shows, I will cross my fingers for you!
Beth - good luck with the practitioner and getting Clomid again. I am glad you are Oing now but you must be getting frustrated. Thinking of you and hoping for good things in July!!
Toffee - Yay for bding! Are you ttc?? I found that when I went off the bcp my sex drive increased, so that was nice for DH and I! But now he works all shift work so that can be kind of a pain when we are on such different schedules.
AFM - yes I am charting and temping. I have not used OPKs because my O time is so late, but I do get O symptoms like EWCM and lots of O pain. Click my ticker if you want to chart stalk. I will admit I love chart stalking, lol!! Still hoping to O one of these upcoming days. Funny story - after bding the other day DH said to me, "swim spermies, swim!" I cracked up laughing and then he asked, "is that what we should say??" LOL! I didn't have the heart to tell him I am still not in my fertile phase yet.

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!
this was also posted at AWH so my apologies to those who read both.....
I guess I was pretty keyed up this morning about my appt. with my gyno nurse practioner. It was only for a pap test, which is totally no big deal for me since here in the US we get them done annually. But my BP was 138/98 (yikes!) so yeah, I guess I was uptight.
So I got my NP, who's really very nice, up to date with everything. I told her how disappointed I was in the RE, how no one ever determined why I wasn't ovulating, how I don't know if my tube is blocked, and also how I am NOW ovulating thanks to my acu dr. I gave her copies of all my lab reports from the endocrinologist dr. and she said everything looked pretty good (and it does). We talked about my fsh (the RE had a problem with that), but I explained that was after a terrible 48-day cycle that ended with Provera. I said I didn't think it was indicative of the whole picture.
She's willing to refer me to another RE in Fort Wayne (about 2hrs away) or Chicago (closer but still about 2hrs+ away because of traffic -- and I HATE Chicago). But we also talked about meds. She was willing to give me more Clomid; I led her to believe I had only had up to 100mg. But I mentioned Femara which she was not familiar with. So she is going to research that. She was aware of a "new" drug that helps ovulation/egg quality and that maybe that was Femara. It's too late for this cycle anyway so that's ok. So I think next cycle I'll be able to do some sort of meds for sure. I showed her a progesterone test from April which was 5.5; she said they like to see at least 10 (which I'm aware of), but was encouraged when I said it was my highest non-medicated reading.
I also showed her my last three FF charts (only the vaginal temping ones, and I deleted the Clomid from the last cycle, lol). She had never seen a FF chart before and thought it was cool. Anyway, yes she agreed I'm ovulating now.
My BP was down to 118/80 by the end of the appt. lol.
So I feel better now. Feel I have a next step for the next cycle. Maybe I will go schedule an acu session after all.
Forgot to mention that it was pregnant-lady-day at the OB/GYN office. Geez, I swear almost every woman walking in was pregnant! I tried to not let it get to me (tell that to my blood pressure, eh?), but when I leaving the building there was a young couple on the walkway, hugging and holding pics of their first ultra-sound. It was a really touching, poignant moment...and tough to see. I feel emotionally drained today. I forget how much this stuff gets to me sometimes.
