Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!

Post  lindzee on Mon Jul 06, 2009 4:40 pm

Thanks for the kind words Sapphire. Smile/happy

How are the rest of you ladies doing? It seems like everyone is having a bit of a rough go lately and I know how that feels. Hugs and baby dust to you all!!

AFM, I need your opinions here ladies. I am SO frustrated with my long cycles and am considering making an appointment with a doctor. Brief back story: went off bcp in January, first cycle was around 35 days [didn't chart], second cycle was 61 days, third cycle was 48 days and now I am on cycle four and it is CD 31 and I still haven't O'ed yet. I know most doctors want you to wait a year before you go to them, not six months, but I have charting evidence and I know my cycle length is not normal. What do you ladies suggest?? I just can't stand that I am missing some chances because I don't O as regularly or often. Sigh.

Thanks in advance. Thinking of all of you!

Hey Lindzee! I don't want to be one of those people always trying to diagnose things...but your cycle reminds me of mine before I was diagnosed with PCOS. Cry I went to the fertilitiy specialist after 6 months of trying, was put on Metformin and got pregnant 7 months later after i started ovulating Wink I have a 17 month old little boy now Smile/happy

It wouldn't hurt to call your GYN and ask if you could see someone or if they would look at your cycles or something...good luck! let me know if you want to know more about PCOS Wink

Re: Your Chart...Part 2!!!!!!!!!!

Post  BethG on Mon Jul 06, 2009 6:34 pm

Lindzee, weelllllll, it is only your 4th cycle off BC, which I know doesn't really make you feel better. I'm just not sure any dr. would do anything yet. Sorry, just my opinion. But you're totally doing the right thing by charting...so at least you'll have some evidence to show about what's going on.

Hey girls....soy? Do you think soy might help Lindzee? I'm remembering someone made a comment that you shouldn't take it if you have PCOS or endo....just can't remember which it is.

So what do you all think of my chart? My "usual" ovulation day of CD10/11 has passed. At least I don't think I've O'ed yet. No pain like I've had the past few cycles. And the CBEFM is at LOW...hmmmm, shoulda bumped up to at least HIGH by now. But looking at my chart, I see that CD10 might be possible....depending on what happens with my temp tomorrow. I'm just a bit scared last cycle's Clomid messed me up. I don't think I respond really well to it.

Anyway, trying to take a really low-key approach to this cycle in anticipation of trying the new drug next cycle. After I got the news last week, I had Huey Lewis's "I Wanna New Drug" running through my head all day long! Yeah, i was a teenager in the '80s......

Emma, any test results yet for you???

Ginny, thanks for your advice, I totally appreciate hearing other people's opinions. I guess sometimes you just never know what can be going on inside your body. Were you ovulating at all? My temps show that I have ovulated the last two cycles, just late.

Beth, I was wondering if your chart was going to show O soon. That one higher temp the day before threw me off a bit. Tongue I wish I could O as early as that!! GL to you this month. Smile/happy

Toffee, too funny about Johnny Depp, I definitely want to see that movie as well.

Sparkles, thanks for the kind words. it is nice to know that I am not the only one that has been through this. It seems to be very hard to find support IRL from friends and what not because no one talks about it??GL to you this cycle, I hope you O earlier as well!

AFM - thanks for the suggestion of soy ladies. I got some and I took 100 mg from CD 3-7. I haven't noticed any difference and don't think I am going to O much earlier. I have had some patchy ewcm for the past few days, which hasn't really happened before, so I hope that means I will O soon. Thanks for your support everyone.

Lindzee, didn't know you had already tried soy! You're on top of things, lol. Next cycle try 150 or 160mg instead, still taking it CD3-7. I heard/read once it needs to be at that level to be most effective. If I didn't mention it before, you could always consider acupuncture. That is truly what got me ovulating when Clomid failed to do that (except for one cycle). So maybe it could help you O earlier.

Yes, I do tend to ovulate early but I think that comes with a new set of problems! I don't feel I have much chance this cycle. Just don't feel like I had a good eggie at all. So I'm just looking forward to the cycle after this one at this point.

Emma! Update us please!

Sparkles, hoping for a earlier O for you too.

Hi Lindzee - Just wanted to say I tried SOY only the one cycle and it resulted in a BFP. I didn't notice any changes apart from getting EWCM earlier than usual and then BINGO I ovulated on CD17 which is about on average 10 days earlier than I normally would! Wink

My SOY cycle: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Cleo

Also why you look at my chart (everyone!!) You can see that on CD16 I have a 'AM' BDing we actually DTD around 1/2am so would you have also put AM or would you have put PM for the Saturday night????

Post  galaxy on Wed Jul 08, 2009 8:30 am

Sorry, I have not had the time to come on here since I started the new job, been very hectic! I phoned and got my hormone profile results, they were happy with them so I didn't ask for the tyroid ones and any others they did but I did want to know the hormones. Won't see my Doctor though until I have the day 21 progesterone. Here they are and thanks for the interest!

LH 3.7 FSH 5.7 Eostrdiol 80 Progesterone 1.7 Prolactin 262 Testosterone 2 SHBG 31 Free Androgen Index 6.5

Bear in mind that these were taken on day 8 after I had taken the soy on days 3-7. Wish I could predict what day I was going to ovulate from these, he he! They said that the biochemist had written on my notes that there is no change from the last set I had done in October!

Georgi,
wow thanks for sharing your chart with me. That was one nice looking chart. Ten days earlier is great! That won't be me because last cycle I Oed on CD 37 and it is already CD 33 for me. I think for your BD I think I might have put pm because it was very late Saturday night, or very early Sunday morning, depends how you look at it! Tongue

Emma, how is the new job going? what are you doing? Glad you got your results back and is it good that there is no change since the fall? I don't really know what all the numbers mean. Ashamed Good luck to you and I hope that you will O soon!

AFM, I am thinking that I am going to O soon because my lower back was REALLY hurting last night, which is usually a sign for me. I also had some very minor cramping. I am hoping to O tomorrow maybe because I had a nice temp dip today. *Fingers crossed!*

Ok, I checked my results, just for kicks and comparisons....

Mine were done on CD10 back in March:
LH: 51.4 (this was 1 day before ovulation)
FSH: didn't have this done this time. I believe 5.7 is pretty good.
Estrodial: 121
Progesterone: didn't have this done at the time since I was pre-O. But yeah, your progesterone is going to be low since you hadn't ovulated yet.....
Prolactin: 9.2. Ok we have a big discrepancy there. I wonder if yours was measured differently? According to my sheet, that's on the high side of the third trimester of pregnancy! Have to google that one.
Testosterone: 3
Not sure what the remaining two tests are.

i was told all my tests were adequate as well. Nothing that says AHA! THIS is why you're not getting pregnant. So I'm guessing all your tests are great too. Quite curious about the Prolactin one though.
