It's two am everybody asleep,

As we rock slowly back and forth

My baby girl and me.

Her tucked up against my chest.

I hold her tiny hand in mine

And stroke her baby soft skin.

She snuggles close to me still

And makes her soft baby sounds.

I love those quiet hours so much

And cherish every one.

Store memories up inside my heart

For lonely nights to come.

All to soon she'll be grown up

But until then I still have time

For kisses and for song.

Time for quiet ...

We will be leaving in a week to go to Europe for 1 1/2 months. First, we will stay for 1 week at my Mom's, then we will go to France and live there for 1 month in an apartment and then return to Germany for another 9 days or so before heading back to the States. We have traveled overseas with Kian before (he was 8 months old), but I have a couple of questions and am looking for advice/tips/ideas for this trip.

So, I read an article today about this awesome 16 year baseball player who made the cover of Sports Illustrated. His dad just announced that the kid is going to forego the rest of high school, get a GED, go to a junior college, so that he can go to the MLB draft next year. The author of the article pointed out his views, then asked what others thought. I have a thought and just wanted to know what my mommy friends thought. I would also love to know if the boy's mother had any say in the decision ...

I've been trying to come up with ways to do less baby food and more "real" food.

I've been buying more individual cups of veggies and fruits and I try to give him fresh fruits/veggies and bread and little bits of chicken and meat. I also keep a stash of gerber graduate pastas on hand. We also have cherios and goldfish crackers on hand for snacks.

What are you guys feeding your babies now? Are you still ...

Put ice cubes or frozen juice that was frozen in ice cube trays into a MESH FEEDER.

LM loves it, and it soothes her gums better than any teething ring.

Just be sure to put a bib on them that will absorb the liquid that drips. I use those bibs that have the plastic back and the material front.

LM will seriously go to town on a couple of ice cubes in that mesh feeder all day! I keep refilling it, and when I take it to refill it, she has a hissy fit until she gets it back.

But she continues to sneeze and get more snot through out the day and after waking up from a sleep. She is also still coughing. The cough is loose and mucousy but it sounds like A LOT of ...

Ok, Lucy has a new thing. She sleeps on her her knees, with her little butt up in the air and her face down on the mattress. Not really on her tummy cause it is off the bed. You can rearrange her and she just immediately goes back to that position. And after about three rearranges she wakes up crying.

It is driving me crazy! Bed time, nap time, every time anymore. Yeaterday morning her little feet were freezing, I wonder if it is affecting her circulation?
