Georgi, your pregnancy seems to be flying by! Have you been well? Keeping busy with working on the nursery? I wish I had half your talent for making stuff!

Hey Sapphire I am very well thank you for asking Smile/happy I agree it does feel like time is just slipping through my fingers like sand this time around it sound's awful but I hardly have time to think about being pregnant, a complete different story from when I was pregnant with Theo.

I love the sound of your aquatics class that's something that I really would love to do, not sure if any pools around here offer classes like that though!?

You talk about lack of sleep.....sweetie I am so with you on this one, I wake up throughout the night it must be when I want to turn over?? but also nearly everytime I wake up I can feel little one moving around in there!

Hi ladies

I was going to do aqautics with kyrah but never got around to it, now i take Kyrah to swimming lessons once a week lol

I have my first actual hospital app today meant to be at 12 weeks so im a bit late but no dramas. I amgoing well, getting bigger each day . So how much longer of work ladies?

I will be finishing super early this time as its easier for the new teacher if i leve when the school year starts, ( my decision) so i will finish up the end of January i think, so i will have 2 months or more off before bubs, i only work two days anyway and hubby just got another pay rise YAY!!! which makes things alot more comfortable for me to be a stay home mum for quite a few years now, which is wonderful, However hubby has been away ALOT for work cause of it, in this last 6 weeks he has been home 8 days , its crazy. He is in China for two weeks att he moment and he nearly cried leaving Kyrah for so log. But his travel will ease up after this and will go back to travelling interstate once or twice a month only. I cant believe Christmas is only around the corner, this year has gone so fast. i guess that means many of you wil have bubs or just about by then to wow !!!!

well i better get organised for Kyrahs swimming lessons
xox

Sparkles that is fantastic that you will be able to finish up so early, my last day will be Christmas Eve totally my choice but I figured as I only work the 2 days a week I would be able to work right up until Christmas giving me just 3 weeks until this baby is due, it's an office job so it's not brain work rather than being too physical Smile/happy I do have a couple of days off end of October and end of November giving me 2 nice chunky breaks, hoping I can really utilise that time and get loads done whilst Theo is at nursery.

I stopped taking Theo swimming bcos everytime we went he would end up being ill just a couple of days later either the pool I was taking him to was dodgy or his immune system was on the low side?? He loved it so much that I do feel guilty about not going.....hearing about you taking Kyrah to swimming lessons has made me think maybe I should take Theo swimming again Confused

So was that your booking appointment today Sparkles?? Did they take any blood? Glad it all went well though, I can hardly believe I have my 28 week appointment next Wednesday, they will be taking blood again to check my iron levels Cry

Your hubby has been travelling a lot!! I can't imagine being away from Rich for so long, although I do believe that absense makes the heart grow fonder Smile/happy

Thats great you will be able to work right up , i thought the same as i only work 2 days but it works out best for al of us at work, so im happy lol

Well Kyrah sreamed the whole swimming lesson yesterday lol, she use to love it, but she has missed a term as i too stopped her during winter as she was getting sick alot. But im sure she will get use to it again and enjoy herself.

Yesterdays appointment was just a touch base, answer all the health questions etc, i had bloods taken 2 weeks ago and all came back well, iron is in the average range, lower part of average but still normal. I have my first Doctors appointment at the hospital in two weeks now
wow your 28 week appointment i cant beleive it either!!! Good luck , when is the glucose test? i cant even remember now lol

Re: PREGNANCY CHAT - All stages welcome!!

Post  sapphire on Thu Oct 15, 2009 12:45 pm

Hi ladies, it's good to see some new posts in here and really glad to see everyone is doing so well (even if time is flying by for you all!).

Georgi, that's no fun with the sleep, but I suppose your little girl is keeping you up? I don't notice lots of movement when I wake up, and I never pee at night so it's not that (I limit fluids in the evening to make sure) so I have no idea! It's great you can work up until Christmas and then be done, how nice to have a few weeks and not worry about going back to work after the holidays!

Sparkles, I didn't realize your DH was away so much, that must be really hard. My DH was gone Monday-Friday almost every week for just over 2 months last year and that was hard enough so I can only imagine, especially since you also have Kyrah. I'm glad to hear it's not going to be like that permanently though. And the pay raise certainly helps, so great you'll be able to be home for so long. I meant to say something awhile ago too about your placenta being low, did they say how low it was, or how close to the cervix? My OB told us we weren't allowed to have sex until we knew the placenta moved up, I don't know if that's same for you? It's been two months for us!!! Next scan is tuesday the 20th so hopefully by then all is okay, otherwise we're booking a c-section and will have another scan a month later to see if it's changed.

I am feeling a bit down at the moment, the sleep thing is really getting to me. And if one person smiles or laughs and says it's good for me to get me ready for the baby, I don't even know what I'll do! I've been sleeping poorly and dealing with that quite well if I do say so myself throughout the WHOLE pregnancy so far, and it's just now that it's becoming a real problem instead of a bother. I can barely do my job anymore (and it's an office job!) and when I actually manage a full week of work, I end up cancelling plans for the evenings or weekends because I can't do anything else. It's not just that I feel tired but it's really impacting all aspects of my life now, particularly when I feel I can't keep up with my work or anything else. I saw my OB today and tried to explain it, and I was hoping he'd have something that would help - tips to help, or even (I was hoping) for a note to stop work a bit early - but all he said was that it's normal and to try some warm milk before bed or even a gravol. I just don't feel like I can keep going like this, and I don't know how I can last another 9 weeks at this rate - let alone be ready to go through labour and then care for a newborn.

Sorry for the moan ladies, I am just feeling really overwhelmed today by it all and I didn't know where else to come for a vent! best get back to work and try to get something done now.

Sapphire,
Awww hun Cry Towards the end of my pregnancy it was impossible to stay in bed all night long. I"d have to get up to be at least 1 time a night and plus the pain of all the growth of the belly hurt too. To help me sleep I always had cookies and milk before bed, hehe!!! I swore by it. Also if you have indigestion, I suggest not eating past 6pm and elevating your pillow a little higher. I'm really sorry you are having issues that it's causing you not to function at work and such. I remember how tired I'd get too and I just sit at a desk all day long. With my 2nd pregnancy I tried to get out and walk, I think that might of helped a lot with such a great pregnancy + delivery compared to Audrey's. Also remember that even though the nightless nights feel endless, it will end eventually even if you have a baby that wakes up much in the night. I thought it would never end, but at least you'll be able to nap all day long when you baby sleeps, so you'll catch up Smile/happy Try having a newborn and a toddler, when can I get a nap, except when Audrey naps, lol!!! I hope things get better and I strongly do suggest drinking milk before bed, I'd nearly fall asleep in the bathtub reading my book.....awww yes a bath before bed and a novel to go along with it helped alot!!

Re: PREGNANCY CHAT - All stages welcome!!

Post  mscherry42 on Fri Oct 23, 2009 10:17 am

I had a 9 week appt yesterday. Nothing much to report. I have officially gained 6lbs, which sucks. The dr was not able to hear the heartbeat, but I wasn't even expecting to, so it was no big deal. He and I have decided not to do the cerclage unless my cervix starts to shorten, and he'll do it around 16-18 weeks if it looks necessary. I will however start progesterone shots at 18 weeks, since I needed them with Jayden. I am doing the ultrascreen test in 3 weeks. And that's it. I went and worked out with one of my friends at the gym yesterday. We rode the bikes(I think it's more row machine, but IDK) for 35 minutes, then we did arms and back strengthening exercises, I am a wuss and only used 10 lbs. We did some bicycle crunches and oblique crunches. I made sure no to overdo it, and felt good for going. If I'm gaining weight like this, I will definitely need something to counteract it. We're also going to start swimming there too. The nausea is fading, thank God, although I still get really hot and faint sometimes.

Sparkles, what wonderful news about your baby being so healthy. Love the pictures and so cute that your bubs is already sucking his/her little thumb. Can't wait for you to find out the sex!!

Mscherry- Don't worry about the 6 pounds, it could be water weight, a lot of bloating happens in the first trimester.

Loves to everyone else, hopefully I'll be joining you by January!! xxxx
