What is a luteal phase?

I looked up online on an ovulation calculator to see when I should be ovulating this month. But it based its calculations on something called a luteal phase. I left it at the default, but I don't know a)what it is, or b)what is mine.

Anyway, based on a luteal phase of 14, I should have o'ed yesterday. So, if that's the case, and how many days after am I still fertile?

hey hun, your leutal phase is the time between ovulation and your period. it is typically 14 days (hence why most people go 14 days past ovulation before they get ) but can range from 10-15 days. you are the most fertile the 3 days leading to ovulation and the day of ovulation. unfortunately after you ovulate, you missed the window lol. it is EXTREMELY rare to get pregnant from having sex the day after ovulation but if i remember correctly it *could* happen. but i wouldnt count on it.

hehe no problem! glad i could help! i remember learning all of it and thinking why does all this have to be so damn complicated?!?!
