Let me introduce myself...
Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you to a dear friend, "sapphire", for introducing me to this site. I have mixed emotions about being here...
My husband and I have been married for almost 5 years. A year and a half into our marriage, we decided to begin our family. I was naive to think that it was going to happen right away. Month after month, we were VERY discouraged and disheartened as our dreams of getting pregnant seemed to be getting futher away. And then after one full year of
, we were overjoyed to learn that we were in fact preganant! Our daughter is now 17 months and she means the world! But I must say, that I can relate to the
battle oh so well...
We are now in the midst of
for baby number 2. I'm not sure why, but I didn't think it would take very long the second time around! And I sure didn't anticipate it being as difficult!! You see, we have always talked about having our children close together in age. Granted, we have only been trying for 3 months, but in my head, every month that goes by, I tell myself "that's one more month that they will be apart". So in a weird way, I feel like I am in a race with myself. And I HATE it! I wish I could just relax and enjoy this time, but I can't seem to turn my mind off!
So I have come here to hopefully find some support in the midst of the chaos and confusion. I look forward to 'chatting' with you all...

Welcome, Mixxer!!
I have been actively ttc for about as long as you, so let's hope it won't take us too much longer to get our BFPs. Can't wait to chat with you and get to know you better, Sapphire is an awesome girl!!

Welcome Mixxer
My journey is somewhat a similar one took at 15 months to conceive dd who is nearly 14 months and we are curretly

So my body has had a rest and accupuncture and i am hoping to TTc a sticky baby soon. So i am here for you and i hope we both have a quick journey we can share togther. I know how you feel i dont want to get depressed etc like last time, i now have officially only be
for one month and i can "fell" similiar feeling creeping back up, i really dont want that, as i am so lucky to have my daughter and dont ever want to feel like i did when TTc her again ( granted i have aa child already so prob wont feel the same again- as am blessed alreadY0 BUt my point is ( LOL) i will try and not get obsessed with ttc again. i will chart again this cycle but if i feel a bit obsessed i am going to stop charting after that and let natire take its cause, are you taking temperatures etc??
good luck

Re: Let me introduce myself...
I started charting at the beginning, but I found it becomming obsessive. So I've taken a break from BBT charting. My body works like clockwork...typically a perfect 28 day cycle, with a consistent 12 day luteal phase. I got to know my body and cycles very well during the first year of trying for #1!! So, for now, I am just watching CM...I'm hoping that keeps my mind more 'relaxed'!!

late reply
hey hun welcome to the site its a grate bunch of friendly woman here
I can sorta relate to what you are saying i first fell pregnant when i was 16 and had a abortion due to the way to how i got pregnant i just couldn't handle it and i felt i was not ready to be a parent and know i would never be able to handle the though of somebody else raising my child, may sound selfish but its how i felt.
Then i fell
a year in to my marriage 2 times and i kept blaming my self saying i was being punished for the abortion after that i went on the pill and fell pregnant the one time in like 5 months of no sex and now 7 months pregnant 3 years in to my marriage
so only advise i can give you is relax a little bit and stop focusing on trying to get pregnant and it will happen before you know it

Re: Let me introduce myself...
Hi Mixxer!! My name is Ginny and I also have a 17 month old named Thane
Is yours a boy or a girl, I'd love to see pix! What is his/her name?
I am not
ever again, unfortunately, only due to the fact that I have a 9 year old stepson (in addition to my 17 month old), and my DH thinks he is TOO old to have another and maybe we are...who knows!?
(I'm 31 and he's 38). We are happy though with the 2 and even though i ADORED being pregnant, I guess I am done
But I can relate to you thinking about every month going by and that's another month apart they will be
That makes perfect sense, but it really will be ok and you will have a sibling for him/her probably when you least expect it!!
Welcome to the boards and I LOVE Sapphire too so I know you must be a very sweet person also

Re: Let me introduce myself...
Mixxer!!! So good to see you here, WELCOME!!! This really is a great group of girls, and I hadn't even realized how similar you & sparkles' stories are. She's a sweetheart as are the others here. And now that you're here, you'll see far more of my bare belly than you ever would have in normal life (should you choose to look at the belly thread!). Kind of funny what we share online.
LOL at Beth. *sigh* Yes, more canadians!! But I only tell the best ones about this site, I promise!!
And Mixxer and lindzee, you two don't know each other so don't worry about someone you know (other than me!) reading your posts ... you are from totally different times in my life!
