Awwwww Kyrah has a glow-worm too!!! It was one of the first thing's I bought after our 20 week scan! Love the pictures of Kyrah trying to drink your drink lol little minx!!

Regarding napping Theo still has a nap mid morning, early afternoon and sometimes late afternoon but he only ever sleeps for 20 minutes on average. He consistantly sleeps from 7pm until 7am and again after his feed until 9am but this morning he slept until like 11am or so, I couldnt believe it but I think he is going through another growth spurt as he has finally grown out of his vests they were labelled 'up to 1 month' but they fit perfectly up until literally a few days ago he is now in the ones that say 'up to 3 months' LOL!!!!

Well just got back from the clinic and Theo weighs 16lbs exactly which is spot on to his age. That's all I was popping on to say Smile/happy

Very quiet here today I thought at least 1 person would be tuned in when I logged in!!!

Hey ladies,

I belong to this thread, too. Unfortunately, the remnants of hurricaine Ike hit us pretty hard and we have been without power since Sunday morning. I am using the internet at work to quickly pop in to say hi. Smile/happy

Talk to you all later and will post personals as soon as we get power back.

well, i have been up all night i think i got 1 hour sleep MAX, kiers screamed all night he not a well little boy so i have an appt for him in 30mins with the doc, poor little bugger. I have had to supplment his feeding as he wont take the breast as he is all blocked up and i didnt have any expressed off so he has had formula for the last 12 hours. will have to take some herbs and express a bit more to keep my supply up as it goes down sooo quick!
so will write more when we get home.

Nicki - That must have been so scary, we have nothing like that in the UK. I hope you and your family are not too shaken up and like Sparkles says there isn't too much damage.

Teressa - How is Kiers today?? Really sorry that he is just so un-well at the moment, it must be so upsetting as there is only so much a Mummy can do! Anxious to know how you got on at the docs!!

Niki - Was Kaydance slightly underweight for her age then at 7 months +, I know that weight for girls and boys differs so much but considering that Theo is 16lbs now, I can imagine that Kaydance is a weeny one!! lol

Sparkles - Good weight for Kyrah! You are so lucky to have a photographer in teh shopping centre, it's really weird cos whilst I was pregnant there seemed to be photographers with all the gear ready to take pictures in the mall but now that Theo is here I haven't seen any! I am considering getting some professional photos done, however I am tempted to wait until Theo can sit up on his own then his face won't look all squashed in the photos!! I look forward to seeing your professional shots of Kyrah when you get some back (if you show us all of course!!)

Anyway, I am off to see my friend today and her little baby girl (Theo's playmate) but I had to satisfy my addiction first! LOL

Re: Mums of babies 0-6 months

Post  Mum of jj on Wed Sep 17, 2008 3:53 am

aww thanks for thinkin of us today!
Went to the docs and you wouldnt believe it but he acted like nothing was wrong, smiling a cooing the little shit! but she gave him a good check over, the inside of his ears are really red but not enough to be able to give some medicine, his throat is read but again not enough for antibiotics, he has a little bit of a rattle in his lungs but she said that thats normal as his nose is really runny which has the top of it all blocked and this will drip down the back of his throat giving him all the mucous on his chest, his cough is a real hacking one and after it its like he says ow and nearly starts crying.
it is heartbraking as there is nothing i can do, i gave hima nice hot bath at lunch time and he was really happy in that. He is still having formula as i cant express enough for each feed. so i have been expressing and using herbs to keep my supply up, even tho im not getting anything out its still that stimulation so it continues to make more. At the mo he is laying on his sheepskin having a play with the playfym, jesse has been really good which is a bonus otherwise im just to tired to notice! I wont be having a late one tonight, will be in bed not long after the kids!
Also had an appt with the orthopedic surgeoun about kiers hips, some of you might remember about it from a different forum, anyway he had an xray to see his hips and everything is looking really good so doesnt look like we need to put pins or a brace on! yay
Been a bit of a downer here today! have got a funeral on friday, a family friend went away for the weekend with her DH and another couple and the girls went back to themotel and left the boys at the pub when the boys got home her dh went to have a shower and found her hanging, she had hung herself with a shower curtain, she was 39 and left behind a 22 year old son. the doc had just recently taken her of her anti depressants saying she doesnt need them anymore but obviously they were wrong. so i hope things can only get better from now for us!

right off to put jesse to bed, kiers is blowing raspberries how cute!

OMG!!!!! I couldn't believe what I was reading there, that is just dreadful......I am stunned!!

Regarding Kiers.....hopefully this bug will just pass over quickly, it's just typical that he was smiling away at the doctors, cheeky little thing!! hehehe! Did you say whether you are giving him any baby paracetamol?? Theo was all red in the face and very hot yesterday and I gave him some capol which seemed to do the trick but I thought here we go, his first illness!!

Yes he has been having baby paracetamol and the doc has told me to also give him 2 doses of baby iboprofen a day too as his temp is still high and wont shift using just a paracetamol, since he has had a dose of that as well he seems a bit better and has just had his first feed from the breat in 24 hours so maybe things are looking up, ask me in another 12 hours whan morning comes ill let you know for sure!
Jesse never had his first illnes until this winter at 2 and half years old, he has had sore throats in the past but once he had his adnoids removed it was fine, but he has never actually had a cold or complained unti thsi winter. When he has had sore throats in the past the only way i could tell was becoz he wouldnt have anything to drink unless it was luke warm, he would say too hot or cold even if it want, you never would of thought anything was wrong with him, he has such a high pain thresh hold, e will fall over and scrape his knee and there will be blood but he will get up and look at me and say just an accident thinking im gonna tell him off coz he has blood on his clothes! so when he not well and tells me i know its bad.

Re: Mums of babies 0-6 months

Well, guess what!! Both kids slept ALL night even tho they are sick! I wasnt expecting that, jesse wakes when daryn gets up for work at 4am and usually comes into bed with me but this morn he slept through and kiers went down at 8.30 last night and didnt wake until 8.45am this morn, was very happy, i decided to elevate his bed a little higher than what i already had and i think this seemed to work as whenever i checked on him through the night his breathing was clear, so thats good. He is in having a nap at the mo. and also kiers is back to taking the breast and not a bottle he hasnt had a bottle since yesterday arvo which is great! but i can tell my supply a little low at the mo so might have to supplement his lunchtime one which is fine by me.
