Let me tell you a secret.....

I first discovered the secret after a friendship that will always be close to my heart, blossomed. After months of torment and believing that having a baby is something that happens to some other lucky couple, my good friend Holi found the courage to talk to me about 'The Secret', she ran the risk of sounding like some crazy woman because once you have truely discovered the secret you do fear that others will mis-judge you, so often it is a secret that remains just that! Holi saw the potential in me and the postive effects that introducing me to the secret would have on my life.

I will admit that before the secret, I already had a positive outlook on life as I have suffered and believe that when you have endured such pain you know what being happy really feels like (hope that makes sense). Even though I am forever the optimist I, like anyone else, have doubts and occasionally need someone or something to help me eliminate those negative thoughts.

Holi sent me the DVD and from the moment I watched it, I felt at ease with my thoughts but importantly in control for the first time in months, I knew what I wanted and I was going to get it!!

There are various ways of implimenting positive thinking into your life but for me, visualising what I wanted really helped and so I created a 'Vision Board'. I placed my board somewhere I couldn't miss it and that was on my bedside table, this meant it was the last and first thing I saw each day.

I also wrote on the day of September 2nd 2007 in my diary "I WILL be pregnant by here!!" I wrote this back in May/June 2007, for anyone that doesn't know I tested and got my BFP on 1st September 2007.

Everyday I looked at my vision board and said to myself, I WILL have my baby, it felt extremely important for me to visualise holding my baby in my arms not just visualising being pregnant. I saw a healthy baby and often thoughts of a baby boy popped into my head although my visionboard was aimed at a baby girl as this was what my husband wanted.

For me I DO believe that remaining positive and believing in myself and the power of positive thinking made my dream of becoming a Mummy true. During my pregnancy I still used my visionboard and practiced positive thinking, I started thinking of other thing's that I would like such as my own business, good health, extra money each month etc...and the secret has never let me down!

You might all now think I am slightly batty but at the end of the day I am happy and we all have beliefs in something whether it's a religion or fate, my belief is the belief in the power of the mind and that if you think positive thoughts, positive things WILL and CAN happen!

I don't know if I believe that good thoughts attract good situations, but being positive is always a good thing!

The reason why I don't, is because I've had depression for almost 3 years now, and my days are varied. Surely if I was always negative/positive, it would be the same all the time?

I think it's more coincidence, than attraction.

However, anything is worth a try and we all need positivity. And if that's what keeps people going and strong, then great! xxx

I think you would know what we meant if you watched the secret.I know it's easy to be sceptical.It s really not just about lookin at a situation and saying/thinking 'ah well,let just be happy" it gets SO far into detail and explains it on a scientific basis as well phycial.I think you should rent it toff...let us know what you think once you've seen it! Smile/happy

One question, is the vision board best as words or just images?

Well,whatever works for you toff,did you manage to watch it last night?Mine worked well.(the move link is in the other sub forum)

Anyway,as for vision boards...just pick things that you dream about,set yourself a believeable date to acheiev/receieve these things by.I really REALLY cant stress enough how important it is to watch it.It just explains and SHOWS you s well and in such detail how all of this works.Please try and watch it .It's just not enough to just cut out pretty pics and make a board.There are daily things you have to do mentally.I do not want to keep trying to explain about the movie because I cannot do it justice.I just think everyone should see it THEN try it!

Thats great hun...you have to put dates I(believable for you) for when u wish to have /accomplish all these..is it somewhere you can see it everyday and do your visualising?

ok, ive heard sooo much about this from quite a few people but this is the first time ive known someone to actually follow through, so im going to download it tonight and watch it tomorrow!! so beware my vision board will be coming soon.......
