Yeah Helen is right if you want to change the colour of your font you need to do each time I am afraid, it's the same rule for most forums.
The answer to your other question is something to do with if you created a thread and there are new posts it shows as red and others show as the outlined red....I am not 100% sure, but I have come across this somewhere but can't recall where!

hehe im glad you asked Ry, i to was curious why sometimes the little boxes were red, and other times just outlined red!! that makes sense though. and yes, i change my font to orange everytime. it was kinda annoying in the beginning but now its just habit lol!!! i would hope so since ive done it some 800 times lol!

well, the little square on helens world is all red when theres more than one new post since my last visit, but only red outlined when theres only one new post since my last visit, but i hadnt created any of the topics, so this leads me to believe it is correlated to the number of new posts not who created them! make sense? lol, i confuse myself sometimes!! hehehe.

ok, scratch my last idea, i now think that they are full red when only that forum has a new post, but outlined red when that forum and a subforum within have new posts
