Only read the first 4, but seen all the films! Went to a preview one Smile/happy was ace!

Decided I'm gonna read the others, I can tell things are missing and want to fill in the gaps.

I enjoy the series - DH has never read them so we've been listening to the audiobook versions in the car on trips (unfortunately we haven't been going on trips, so haven't listened in a while)

Haven't seen any of the movies though. I may after the last movie is done. I love the books but generally hate movie adaptations of anything.

I'm so jealous! We have no money right now, and I haven't seen it.

I am SUCH a fan.... hence the Longbottom username!!!

I heard that some people were annoyed because it was too light hearted and not dark enough like the book is.

However... I always try to enjoy the books in one element, and the movies in another. One will always be disappointed if they expect the movie to be just like the book Smile/happy

Yes Tiff I very much agree! The movies (except the 1st and 2nd one) don't follow the book quite the same, and to be honest i didn't remember much of the 6th one, but it was really cool Wink I guess I read it about 3 years ago and i jsut didn't remember! i have the 7th book and read it when iw as pg so maybe i'll remember most of it when the 2 last movies come out - the 7th book is split into 2 movies Wink

OH and yes, Lou Lou we have a drive in in Estill Springs!! Its called Montana Drive In...not sure why MOntana Tongue BUT We love it!!! It's only $17 for me, Ray, Blaine, and Thane is free Wink ITs so much fun to sit in the truck and the system I have helps too cuz the sound is awesome!!!!!

I can't wait for the last 2 movies!!

The actor who plays Neville Longbottom lives by my friend Smile/happy

Apparently Rupert Grint who plays Ron, has had swine flu!

I haven't read any of the books so I can't compare there. I have all the movies on DVD but have only seen the 1st two! REALLY need to get caught up, but hubby and I are terrible about making it through an entire movie. Lately hubby can't even make it through at 30min program without falling asleep!

I'll be asking for this movie on DVD for Christmas (if it's out by then). I did enjoy the Harry Potter movies I did see.

OK. I saw the movie. I am sorry to announce, as an avid Harry Potter fan, and a fan of the other 5 films, I did not like it very much. It had it's moments, but they really spent too much time on meaningless crap, and should have showed more of the action in the book. It was way too light hearted compared to the agony in the book. I enjoyed it from a certain point onwards, but getting to that point was very slow.

Too many key characters were left out, they didn't get enough screen time. Blah.

Cry Awe!! That sux Tiff!!! I know what you mean though...I mean I liked it...but I do agree a lot was left out (from what I can remember!) For some reason the book is very fuzzy in my head Cry My brother said they left out a big battle at the end and to be honest i don't remeber it! i do from the last book but not the 6th. Im sorry you didn't like it!! I thought I was just thinking part of it was slow cuz a storm was coming and I was outside at the drive in so I was like "HURRY UP!! Cry " but sounds like maybe it was just hte movie itself ... oh well. I think the last 2 will be really good!!

I know what u mean though about being light hearted...liike in one scene i remember hermione and harry talkinga bout something that was SUPER serious like Voldemort kililng somebody (or seomthing to that extent) and then she was like "Anyway, what about Qudditch tomorrow!?" or something that was so light hearted I was kinda like "do what???" So iknow what you mean Wink i think i should watch it again thogh with thane not crawling on me! Tongue
