Is it just here, or does there seem to be a ton of stories in the news lately about things happening to babies. Really horrible things.

Yesterday I read about an 8 month old in intensive care. His parents were having a party (sounded like families with kids kind of party) and some braniac decided the bathtub would be a good temporary bed for the baby. They went back to check on him 20 min later and someone (nobody knows who) had filled up the tub with water.

And just recently there was the 3 week old who's meth addict dad beat her to death and probably sexually abused her too.

These stories are really upsetting me, and I don't know why. I just seem to be unable to get them out of my mind. Those poor babies.

I think it's just a sign that we live in a really horrible world these days. I was watching a news program last night that said for the first time in American history parent's believe their children will have a lesser quality of life than we have. It's so sad.
