I'm bleeding
Not very subtle, I know. But, I am bleeding. Not very heavily, but enough to freak me out at first. I'll be monitoring it to see if it increases. So, heads up, I might be having a miscarriage as I type.

I don't want this to come across as insensitive but is it brown blood? red blood? pink blood? just blood or any clots? sorry for so many questions but bleeding/spotting is so common in the early weeks of pregnancy commonly caused by implantation or around the time your period have been due. Just try to rest up as much as you honey, hoping it's a scare and nothing else {{hugs}} x x x
Re: I'm bleeding
Thanks for all of the support ladies.
The blood was bright red. It came so suddenly, that it freaked me out. But, it never came back again. I read online that pelvic exams can cause it, so for now, that's what I'm putting in my mind. The oncall doctor told me that she because I was just there on Wednesday and was checked out, that she thinks everything is fine, but if the bleeding got/gets worse to go to the ER. I am still a bit worried, but not freaked out/shocked like yesterday. The thing is, it's never happened with either of the girls before, so I was so unprepared for it. I still don't feel nauseous or any other "pregnant" feeling. Hey, maybe I'm having a boy, and that's why things are different(I can hope, right). Either way, I want to thank you all for your support and advice.

Re: I'm bleeding
Cherry,
Just wanted to say that I am thinking of you and hoping that everything is all right with your little bean. Stick bean, stick!! I really hope the bleeding was from the pelvic exam. I had some bleeding after my internal ultrasound before, so it can happen. Take care and rest up!!

Re: I'm bleeding
Mscherry, many members will remember that the exact same thing happened to me when I was pregnant with Theo, I had brown bleeding at exactly 5 weeks but at 6 weeks I was at work and felt this awful gush of wetness down below I went to the loo thinking I had maybe pee'd myself a little?? but I was stunned when I saw loads of bright red blood - with mucus, I freaked out after experiencing an early miscarriage only 2 cycles before, I was told that the likelyhood was I was miscarrying but I could go for an emergency scan on the Monday (this was Friday) but meanwhile all I could do was rest. I didn't have anymore bleeding after that one episode and I was relieved to be told that everything was fine at my scan on the Monday, at the time they found no cause for the bleeding. It's weird but just one of those thing's, Tiff experienced bleeding slightly later on than me with LM and again everything was fine. My thoughts are with you and your bean!! x
Re: I'm bleeding
Ty. It's nice to hear positive outcomes. I am experiencing dark spotting today, and I am cramping some. At this point, I don't know what to think. I'm trying really hard to keep positive thoughts, but those disgusting negative ones keep popping up in there. I am now in the bed, where I am going to stay until I am hungry or have to use the bathroom. I will keep you updated.

Oh no, mscherry. Sorry you are bleeding again. Hoping still for a sticky bean. I think resting would be a great idea. And just try to stay as positive as you can, hun. I know it is soooo hard. Big hugs (((mscherry)))

Re: I'm bleeding
cramps at a sporadic minimum pain level. no more dark blood either. i don't know if everything stopped because i laid down, but i know that realistically, I cannot just lay around for the next 9 months. I'm definitely calling my dr on Monday though.

Re: I'm bleeding
I promised to keep you all updated. It started again. No cramps, but the bleeding is back. It's funny, cause it's not bright red, or dark, but somewhere in the middle. I know they say that every pregnancy is different, but sheez, this is totally unchartered waters for me. I am not claiming a miscarriage, so this bleeding/cramping whatever it is, needs to stop so that I get on with just being fat and preggo!!!

Re: I'm bleeding
Hi MsCherry. I'm so sorry about the scare. I hope everything is okay.
When I was pregnant with LM I thought I wasn't pregnant because I thought I started my period. I had cramps and everything. Then it stopped. I was confused. I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I continued to spot, so at 6 weeks 6 days I had an ultrasound and heard the heartbeat loud and clear.
Then at about 10 weeks I started bleeding again. Right around the time I would have started a period if I weren't pregnant. I had another ultrasound and everything was still fine. So weird.
So it could very well be that your hormones are confused like mine where. Lay down for now, and then get into the doctor asap.
We are here for you!!

Re: I'm bleeding
I am beginning to feel better about what's going on. I haven't gotten anything on a panty liner at all so far today. But, with both girls, I never had much implantation bleeding(kind pink stuff, but that's it). Never anything like this. But, except for the cramps yesterday for a few hours, and the one bright red wipe with a tissue stuff, everything else has been kind a dark and not much there. But, to be safe, I am going to see if my dr can get me in sometime this week, hopefully. Or do you girls think I should go to ER just to ensure I am actually seen?

Re: I'm bleeding
Hey Ms Cherry,I would say that if the cramps and bleeding have stopped ,or you have not seen any blood since yesterday then I would wait until monday.ER would just be a stressful waste of your time for now.I hope that the bleeding was just due to the exam that you had a few days prior and that from now on everything will go smoothly. If you really feel you should go to ER then go,as for me,if I had seen no blood for at least 12 hours and the cramping had stopped and doesnt return any time soon (before you get to see doc) then I would just chalk it up to the exam or some friction in that area.Hope all is well with you now and wish you a HH 9 months xxxx
Re: I'm bleeding
Actually, Angel, when I woke up this morning at 4:30 there was some that did not really go away until I took a shower, after that, nothing but faint. So, we have Friday-red, Saturday-very dark and cramps, Sunday-brick red(thick) no cramps. Now, nothing. I don't really care about sitting in the waiting room for hours, I just want some reassurance. But, if I knew that my dr could fit me in this week, then I would wait. Do they normally get you in in situations like this, even if they're booked solid, or do they put you off, I wonder.

Re: I'm bleeding
Well,I would insist on seeing a doctor and getting a scan as soon as they can just to check the status. If you ARE (god forbid) having a MC (Sorry to b xe blunt just saying) there is nothing an ER could do to stop it,in fact at this stage nothing anyone can do,so urgency is not really what they will use for your situation. The only reason they'll do a scan is to check for the presence of a yolk sac /fetus which could be hard to tell st this stage and see if the lining ofyour womb has started to come away or if they can see any evidence of bleeding in there.Either way, nothing they can do sadly if it IS the case.If everything is fine and the bleed is just some inexplicable phenomenon then it would serve to reassure you,or make you worry more because you are so early in your pregnancy they probably wont be able to say 'hey look there's a baby with a heartbeat" you know.So either way, they wont be able to tell you MUCH right now at the ER they they cant tell you with a regular docs appointment.I would go see the doc asap if you are still bleeding n cramping at ALL tommorow, unless it stops and you feel ok,maybe the return of some preg symptoms then I woul go to ease your mind anyway.I hope you don't mind my sounding blunt and think I am being insensiitve,It's just generally what happens and what they will tell you.Either way,i would book for a scan soon and see if everything appears to be intact,I hope SO much that it is.
Re: I'm bleeding
Angel,
You are too sweet. I am asking, so I need/want you to be blunt. I don't think you're insensitive. I like that you "gave it to me straight". I didn't think about like you said about there's no "urgency" on their part. If I miscarrying, then it'll happen, if not, then I'll be fine. Either way, a few days won't kill me(I hope ). So, tomorrow I'll just call my dr, see what is the earlies they can see me(I'm not scheduled regulary for another month), and just be normal in the meantime. Thank you for unclicking my panic(sort of) button for me. Now, to celebrate your wisdom, I'm going on break and eat some ice cream!!!

Cherry I also hope you are alright. I can't say much for optimisism, since the only time I bled, it led to something bad, but you are in my thoughts that it's the same spotting pregnant ladies get ((cherry))

Re: I'm bleeding
Thank you Gutter and everyone for the kind words, advice, and all the {{hugs}}. I feel better mentally, almost to the other extreme. For some strange reason, I keep thinking....wait for it.....twins. How does a person who is scared of miscarriage actually think she could, maybe, possibly be carrying twins? I don't know, but the thought won't leave. I even looked it up since I was thinking it so much, and it kind of fits with my bleeding symptoms(doesn't everything?). I know that with every subsequent pregnancy, you could show sooner, but dang, I look at myself, and it looks like I'm like 3 months preggo. I haven't told my job(don't plan on it either for like 1 1/2 more months), so I am constantly making sure my jacket is closed over my stomach cause it feels like it's just sticking out for everyone to stare at. Anyway, the chance of twins is slim, I know, but I ever since the doctor asked me if twins ran in my family, the thought is stuck there. Anywho....yea!! my boobies hurt! Since I have NO morning sickness whatsoever(knock on wood), it's easy to miss other preggo signs. My boobies had stopped hurting, but now it feels like DF used them as a punching bag while I slept.
