The mission of Red Oak Texas is to embrace progress and the future while effectively managing growth and development and preserving the city of Red Oak’s heritage and quality of life. They also aim at facilitating the improvement and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens by the efficient delivery of services. The departmental categories of Red Oak constitute the Police department, fire department, administration, human resources, parks and recreation, library, public works, economic development, community development and engineering, Red Oak tourism and code enforcement.

The police section uphold democratic values, provide service with fairness and respect, embrace diversity, equality, integrity and fairness and listen to all the voices in the community. They strive to improve the quality of life of all the members of the community by providing a safe and secure environment. They also enforce laws, exercise regulatory authority and preserve peace within the framework of the Constitution. At the same time they also protect the rights of all and apply the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in partnership with the entire community.

The fire department handles the emergency services. They are committed to making the community as safe as possible through education and prevention. Their goal is to ensure that appropriate steps are taken to prevent disasters from occurring, minimizing the impact of those that occur, and prepare the city in the management of response and recovery operations for large scale emergencies.
