Crikey, don't know what to do!

Post  galaxy on Wed Jul 06, 2011 6:48 am

Well, it appears I am in the 2WW and I don't know whether to take the emergency contraceptive. I am in the 72 hour time limit but I think I would be happy if I was pregnant. Only thing is I had a major diagnosis (confirmed diagnosis) of bipolar disorder yesterday and am starting new meds and this for me is my getting better time. Also, I am actually afraid that we will be criticised by family for getting pregnant whilst I have these issues. I know the in laws look down their noses at me and can't stand me cause of my depression. They seem to think I am just ungrateful for what I have and won't even try and understand. Feel so confused, would I even cope with a third child???

Hey hun, are you sure your in the 2WW? I just looked at your chart and your temps are quite low? I seem to remember that charting wasn't reliable for you in the past though, unless thats someone else I am thinking of. Seen as your post was a few days ago I am assuming you made a decision on if to take emergency contraception or not. Sorry about the diagnosis, but in a way I guess it must be a relief to find out whats wrong, I am so sorry you are dealing with depression and that by the sounds of it your inlaws don't understand. (((hugs))).

Hi hun, you're right, my charts never play ball. I have had to tweak them as even when I have become pregnant, they would look like anovulatory cycles. The only reason I am worried is more because of signs like increased libido, energy, ovulation pain etc. I decided not to take the morning after pill, partly because I had trouble getting hold of it but also because it messes my hormones up badly which has an impact on my mood. Just got to wait and see I guess. I wouldn't be unhappy though if I were pregnant but I would probably get sterilised afterwards x
