OMG - Just HAD to go to the D*mn BBQ!?

Well Holi, and Georgi....I DID take Blaine to the High on the Hog BBQ and carnival. WHAT A HORRIBLE DECISION :S

Ok..picture it...we drop off thane at the in laws, me and blaine are gonna have an AWESOME night by ourselves, just the 2 of us like old times...riding the tilt a whirl, bumper cars and maybe even the mega loop if we are brave enough!

Well...we get to the carnival, he's all excited! I go ALL out and buy us both a wristband cuz buddy - hey i don't have thane so im gonna ride some rides - woo hoo!! $30 for both of us.

We walk to the farris wheel, the lines too long...dangit...we walk about 10 steps and Blaine wants to play the rubber duck game and win some big blow up baseball bat with flames on it. Ok cool...this is SO much fun!!! Then we go to the bumper cars that are about 20 feet away. Ooooooh i can't WAIT to get on the bumper cars then I'm getting on that tornado ride!!! I reach down and to my shock... "OMG - MY KEYS ARE FRIGGIN GONE!!!!!!" All the sudden, guess what guys, this is no longer fun! Ray is in Knoxville, 3 hours away at the UT game, my keys have $100 receiver on them to lock and unlock my truck and set the security system, my keys are my truck keys and my only house key. My PURSE is in my truck!!! Ray just put a DVD navigation in there that is 1000 dollars! And the ONLY car seat i have for thane is in my truck that i have lost my FN keys for!!!!!!!!! :'(

Dismayed and freakin the hell out I go to the ticket booth and ask if someone found them she says no and directs me to the office. Well, at the office the chik looks at me and is like "OK...i doubt we will hear anyhting." but i gave her my cell number. I find the police and they walk around with me and try to find the keys for about 45 minutes, all the while precious little blaine is holding my hand and trying to find my keys with me, he is crying a little bit and saying "How will we get home". Bless his poor little heart. He never asked to ride another ride he was so upset we couldn't find my keys bless him. Well, I was freaking out and I said to the cop, "WHAT WOULD SOMEONE WANT WITH MY KEYS!?" and he didn't say anything but looked around and acted like he was locking and unlocking my truck and I said "NO!!" Surely someone wouldn't walk around and try to find the vehicle the keys belonged to!!! :'( No, No, NO!!!!

Well, i was horrified! I wasn't ABOUT to tell ray what was going on since he would be upset. i wanted him to have fun at the game. so i called my FIL and he came to get us. I needed a plan to have someone break into my house with a credit card at the back door, so i could get my spare key and then have someone bring me back to get my truck before whoever had my keys came to try to steal it. WHEW! So, i called my sister, 2 of ray's friends, I was crying and trying not to infront of blaine. We went up to wait at my truck just in case someone tried to steal it (dumb idea btw cuz it was 830 and DARK!!). Blaine was on one sideof the truck crying and I was on the other crying

Well, while me and blaine were sitting there in the dark someone tried to unlock my truck and locked it back. I WAS SCARED OUT OF MY MIND!!!!!!!!!! I freaked out and when they unlocked it again, me and blaine jumped in. I called 911 and told them that someone was trying to steal my truck or something cuz they found the keys and were unlocking and locking it back. I laid on the horn to scare them away. IT WAS HORRIBLE YALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, after i hungup with 911, the chick from the main office at the bbq called me and said "Hey, the cops have your keys!" IT WAS THE COPS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING MY TRUCK!!!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I went to the police and they gave me my keys and everything wound up being ok! MY GOSH WHAT A HORRIBLE FREAKIN NIGHTMARE!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I felt so bad for blaine that we had our blaine and ginny night all messed up that i took him Dairy Queen at 10 pm and bought him a butterscotch dip AND a cookie dough blizzard! He was so sweet about it all though. He told me I didn't mess up the night by losing our keys and at least he got to ride the bumper cars one time! such a good boy!!!!! I am still bummed though about the money i spent for NOTHING and i couldnt even ride the bumper cars!? and FORGET the mega loop after that kind of night...

But anyway, sorry so long but i had to share my drama

oh and p.s. as IF THIS WASN'T enough...I started last night while i was locked out of my truck and i wasn't prepared..what a hell of a night!

Awwww Ginny, what a bad night? So did you tell Ray about it when you got home? Blaine sounds like a really special kid. But I think you'll both laugh about it all someday!

Thanks Beth!! Yes, I told Ray as soon as he got home (midnight) and he was upset for us, but he was also thankful I think that I didn't call him crying when he was too far away to help! He didn't say that, but I think he was, I sure as heck would be!!! Cuz he was having a great time and I didn't want my squalling to mess that up! He never goes anywhere with his friends hardly, so I wanted him to have fun.

And you know what...there is no little boy or child I have ever seen with a heart as big as Blaine's. I love both my boys, but Blaine is a one of a kind special little boy. (Thane too in his own way ) But Blaine is just so sweet and thoughtful and I really appreciate him so much. I am so thankful for him in my life and I really am lucky

Awww Ginny, what an eventful night you had, just not the way you planned. Im glad everything turned out ok in the end, but i would have been exactly the same, freaking out!
Blaine does sound like one of a kind type of kid. Kids like that are very hard to find these days so you're very lucky! You are very fortunate to have such a special relationship with him.

Im not sure what the tilt-a-wheel is but i LOVE any fair that has rides!!! been such a long time since doing something like that, cant wait for the boys to get bigger so we can do stuff like that with them!

Hope you and blaine have a btter night next time you do something together. just chain your keys to your pants! lol

Omg Ginny, i would of freaked out if I lost my keys too. Sorry you and Blaines night got ruined and hope that you both can catch up again soon!!

Yes Georgi, that sucked BIG TIME!!! It was pitiful with both of us crying, i am kinda upset with myself for losing my cool as the parent But, when i got off the phone, I would hug him and say 'No, Blaine, don't worry it is FINE everything is FINE! I have a plan and we are just fine!! I am just stressing cuz i don't want daddy to be upset that I lost my keys!" So i tried to back track after i'd been squalling to Ray's friend marc and blaine heard me

But all is good and we are fine. And blaine says "I don't wanna go to another carnival til I am 18!" and I said "Yeah...then you will be losing your OWN keys at least "

I would have totally cried too! Ginny, you must have been totally freaked when you thought someone was trying to steal your truck. I'm so glad the police had your keys.... thank goodness! Blaine was such a good sport, what a sweet little boy you have there!!
