Swine Flu!!

OK. Are you guys freaking out about the swine flu?!!!!!
I am terrified!!!! I am going to Atlanta this weekend for a design conference and designers from all over the US (including California and New York) will be there!
What if I get sick and pass it on to Owen and my DH?!

Am I the only one nervous about what this flu could do to our babies?

I haven't followed this story super-closely so I don't know ALL the facts....but in my opinion (not based on known fact), I think the people in Mexico who have died probably did not have easy access to health care or did not seek help until it was too late. Even the regular flu can and does kill people every year.

So I think if we in more civilized countries are diligent, take the proper precautions (hand-washing!), we should be just fine.

That being said, Indiana now joins the confirmed cases list with a student at the University of Notre Dame being diagnosed. Rich fucker probably went to Cancun for Spring Break. Oh yeah, Notre Dame is just a few miles away.....

Beth is right, outside of Mexico patients have made a full recovery.

There is an anti-viral drug that kills the virus. I read it online. Don't worry honey! If you feel sick... just go to the doctor and get tested to be sure. Love ya!!

i am also very concerned about the swine flu! my husband just asked me what i was doing and i told him about the swine flu. at his hospital they had a conference call from the CDC and they are taking it very seriously. He said to wear a mask at the airport and on the plane. He said at the conference wash your hands TONS and try to stay about 6 ft from other people if possible!

Try not to freak out though, i very much understand though cuz i am too! I just drove thru ATL yesterday from Jacksonville to TN and he told me not to take Thane out around a bunch of people just in case. just wash your hands and be really careful when you come home. Thank Goodness it hasn't been killing people here, so maybe it won't be as bad... I dunno. But if he is a little concerned about something then i really am cuz he just doesn't worry about stuff!

but anyway, having said that, I am sure you will be fine! Have a safe trip!! XXXXX
