Thoughts on a second little bundle?
Ok ladies feel free to toss in your opinions, own thoughts, and anything else. I am 18 months apart from my older sister and love that we are so close in age. When I think about it I don't want to have kids with huge gaps in between and I am over 30 which means I am close to that mark of high risk pregnancy. So knowing all these things and that it takes 9 months makes me think I am ready to start
. But then I look at Isaac and he and I have so much fun together and I love watching him grow. i don't want to cheat him of any of that. And then there are all the fears I never even thought of when I was pregnant with Isaac like...can we afford it...can I split my time enough...should we move first...can I do it again...will my DH not be as helpful after the second...and on and on. Oh and of course the selfish parts like I like being able to fit into my clothes and being able to drink coffee...
So has anyone else gone down this road yet?

Oh Girl!
I think we've had many conversations about this and several ladies are pregnant now or trying to get pregnant!
I know for me personally I'm not ready. I don't know if I'll ever be ready!
For now, I'm just trying to enjoy Owen. If I decide in 3 months, a year or two years it's ok with me. I'm not going to rush it!
What does your hubby think?

Re: Thoughts on a second little bundle?
hey hun , we originally thought we would start trying in jan 2009, as it took us 15 months to conceive Kyrah, however fate had its way and we fell i nov/dec unexpectadly and i was stressed that Kyrah wouldnt have enough of our time etc i was really scared and then i started to think of the positives, they will be close growing up, baby stil sleeps during the day when your tired in pregnancy, your already in baby mode with nappies etc
however we lost the bub and then we were excited to try again, however this time we are waiting a couple of months purely for my body but i cant ait for Kyrah to have a brother or sister, i KNOW now that i am ready, i wasnt sure before
Maybe just go for it and see what happens lol good luck xoxo and its normal to have hesitations, i wonder how could i love another baby as much as i love Kyrah , its impossible lol but all my friends tell me its possibel hehehe

DH would have a hundred more. He has been ready for months. I do think that I am worrying and thinking to much about it. Other people manage without any problem but after you really know how life changing 1 is I cannot begin to imagine what 2 would do.

Re: Thoughts on a second little bundle?
Momma Bear -- that is such an interesting topic. Ideally, DH and I would like our kids to be close in age since he was not close in age to his bigger sisters and I wasn't close in age to my little brothers either.
We have been talking about
#2 lately and we will probably start in July. I also feel that my body is ready (although I would love to leave a few pounds to get to my pre-preg weight). But there are other things that we are considering: of course money is an issue: do we have enough for two kids. Also, I work full-time and just took a permanent new job at university and I feel a little weird taking maternity leave in my first year. But also, I am 32 and DH is older, so we don't want to wait long and also what if it takes a long this time to conceive?
That being said, I think we will go ahead and start trying in July but probably only until October, that way I could teach through my regular semesters and give birth when I have the summer off. That may sound really weird, but I don't feel comfortable taking mat leave during my first year.

I totally understand!
I want to be a teacher and I want to teach for a year before ttc #1.

Oh great, Toffee, I am glad I am not the only one. I thought people might totally think I am weird.

Re: Thoughts on a second little bundle?
Oh boy I didn't want another one for another 5 years, lol , look where that's gotten me, haha!! It's gonna be tough, we are going thru renovations, so affording 2 kids will definately be tough, but that means we just have to cut out lots of things. The good news, the bank called and wants to talk to us about saving us money, I hope they have a good solution, lol !!
