3D/4D Scans - worth it??
For those of you that had a 3D/4D scan with your baby(ies) do you really feel it was worth it? I mentioned to my best friend that I was considering getting one this time around as baby#2 'could' be our last baby and she thinks I am completely mad. In her opinion the money would be better spent else where. I have mixed feelings about it but wanted to hear from any of you that had one.
It's not offered for free in the UK but I've done my research and found somewhere local, the details are as follows:-
Timescale: 24 – 34 weeks (25 – 27 weeks for multiple pregnancy).
Duration of appt: Approximately 30 minutes
• Foetal well-being check
• Foetal sexing (if required)
• 2D scan and thermal prints
• 3D/4D scan
• 4 x 6x4 glossy colour prints
£115

Re: 3D/4D Scans - worth it??
i got it done with Kyrah, ours was also 30mins, in a comfy room , with a couch and plasma for 10 guests to come and watch. i think it cost us between 150 and 250 AUD, we got every photos taken ( over 50) and it all on film/dvd, freee key rings etc
I loved it and so did all the family, it was a lovely bonding experience for all of us. however next time i wil prob choose the cheaper package and only get the photos no the dvd- as i dont watch it, it is long and the photos are enough to look at, as once bubs comes out, you have SOOO many other films and photos( as you would know im sure)
but i do think it was worth it and will do it again xo

Re: 3D/4D Scans - worth it??
Dummy me, but how much is that in american dollars? We could have gotten a 3-d scan for free, but Jayden put her hand in front of her face and never moved it. I would definitely consider doing it for future baby #2. And remember, what works for others doesn't mean it works for you. I'd go and spend $30 on a meal just for me, but wouldn't pay that much for a name brand tee shirt. Do what works for you, cause you can't change your mind once beautiful babe is here!!!

It's about $190 (US) I have made a decision and if they say the baby is a GIRL I will get the 3D scan if they say BOY then I won't!
