Re: Not losing the weight and breast feeding?
Hey D!
I have just finally lost my baby weight! I am breastfeeding and I walk 3 days a week and try to watch what I eat but the weight didn't just "fall off" like I had been told it would!!
I lost most of it in the first few weeks but I lost the last ten pounds over the last 6 weeks or so. I was sick for a week and lost about 5 pounds then.
Sooooooo No! It isn't just you!!!!! I was disappointed because I thought I would lose it faster. Just hang in there! It will happen.... it may be slower than you'd hoped for but I know you can do it!

It just dropped off me at first, like 37 lbs in 10 days, but now it feels like I have put on 5lbs,I am not chubby but i would like to loose 10-15lbs.I am not sure how,I eat lots of stuff.Pretty much anything I want.I do eat healthy food but i also eat ice cream, chocolate n drink sodas a lot :( not lookin forward to this,I am not happy with my weight either.
Re: Not losing the weight and breast feeding?
I am breast feeding and my weight had dropped off suprisingly easy- not all at once through, quite steadily over 5 months, i lost like 10 kg staright away and then was losing 1kg a week for a while then kinda 1 kg a month
I am back to pre preg weight prob in the last couple of weeks and i am SOOOO happy with how my tummy has gone back etc i feel very lucky . I havent even got back into excercies i prob do a big walk to the shops once a week and just eat as normal, however i havent got as big of an appitite as i use to , maybe not working and running after kids ( apart from my own lol)
i dunno

Re: Not losing the weight and breast feeding?
Hi D! I gained 65 pounds while I was pregnant, and I was at the lower end of the recommended weight range for my height, before I got pregnant.
I only directly breast fed LM for 3 weeks, but I pumped for nearly 3 months total. The first month after giving birth, I dropped 30 pounds. After that, my weight just sort of stayed the same for a while, I would lose 2 pounds, then gain it back, ect.
Once I stopped pumping completely, the weight just started falling off again. I have 15 more pounds to go, and I am having to work at this last 15 pounds by watching my diet and swimming an a regular basis.

Re: Not losing the weight and breast feeding?
I am breastfeeding and have about 5 pounds left to lose. I gained 35 lbs while pregnant. The first 25 came off really easy within a couple weeks of delivery. The last 10 is proving to be harder. I workout 5 times a week and have really started watching what I eat. I think I assumed with breastfeeding you could eat whatever you want. Maybe some ladies can, but not me. When I took my diet back to what I ate before I was pregnant or breastfeeding the weight started to come off. So I am hoping I will be back to my weight if not smaller pretty soon.
