My Second Crystal Bouquet...
I made this for my midwife.I will be sending it this week, along with a poem!
Tell me what you guys think. It's only got 37 crystals but I have made the stems shorter... Will it make a nice gift?I am gonna send it anyway but I wanted you guys to see it and tell me what you think!

I reckon it looks beautiful babe, once you can afford and start using more stems your bouquets will look really amazing....but this one is even better than your first and I hand on heart thought that looked great!!

Re: My Second Crystal Bouquet...
oh that's cool!
What kind of bottom does it have?
Is it sturdy?
I think some 'dangly' crystals would give it a 'flowng look'...if that makes sense.
Those would be great christmas presents tho.
How long does it take you to make one?

Re: My Second Crystal Bouquet...
The bottom is folded stems so it's smooth. It's very sturdy and VERY heavy if you use sterling silver wire.I would like to add that I am so far the only I have found who uses cubic crystals.I think it gives it an adgy pretty, artsy look.Yes one can make some stems longer and give it a cascading style.Or posey look. They can be used as table decorations, with flower bouquets, boutonieres fro grooms. Also they come in SO many shades that it fits with ANY colour sceme, the stems can be sterling silver, gold coated/coloured or the more inexpensive metals wires.
The prices really vary depending on how many stems are used Nika, they ARE expensive to make but depending on the materials you can make less exepensive versiosn.I would be happy to do that for you if ever you want me to.The ones I made are real swarovski crystals and (the one befoe this) had sterling silver wire. For this one (lilac) I just used standard beadinf wire 24 guage. It is sturdy and versatile
I wanted to get some gold wire (not real gold) and orage, yellow and red crystals to make an 'autumn bouquet with lots of stems' but I just dont have that kind of cash to experiment with,
I LOVE doing it and ultimately hope to have my own small business affiliated with bridal stores custom making them for brides!
It takes a long time to make them becase each stem has to be twisted (although I use a drill) it's a fiddly process but I LOVE making them look pretty.Thats only my second I know they will get better and better as I go on.I have just receieved some more clear beads and I am waiting on my my to make some more!
Anyway, thanks for looking everyone,I will post more pics as I make more!

It's too bad you and Georgi aren't closer geographically, you could combine your talents and start an awesome bridal business!!!

Re: My Second Crystal Bouquet...
I had never seen anything like this before you posted yours!
I think it's a really cool idea and something different than just carrying the traditional flowers and ribbon.
I also like the idea of using it as a cake topper!

I had a crystal one for my wedding in June and crystal cake topper to match !! They are becoming very popular now for weddings as a unique alternative to flowers, we still had flowers on the tables tho !!
