I really need some motivation!
I am desperate to lose weight especially as we want another baby and I would love to look pregnant and not just fat in the earlier stages of pregnancy. Also, more importantly, I want to increase my chances of having as healthy a pregnancy as possible. I have turned to you girls for motivation in the past and you have been amazing and I just know that maybe someone has some good tips/ideas. I joined a gym but it is a long bus ride away and I just keep making excuses. I want to eat healthily and I know how to cook but I juts can't be bothered at the last minute and I always end up eating junk from the canteen when I'm at work. I just can't seem to do it and stick to eat but I want to and need to.
Re: I really need some motivation!
you know emma, i could have written that word for word!! but i have been on this diet now for two weeks! going strong so far, and my confidence is starting to fail me now. just like you said, i have the best of intentions but for some reason have such a hard time following through with it. and the main reasons i want to do this are for TTC#2 as well!!!
maybe we can help eachother out? lol, or you could start a diary like i did?

Re: I really need some motivation!
I guess I'd like to join, too. I think I am stuck at a plateau right now, and I can't really diet too much since I am still exclusively nursing. I would like to loose 15 pds.
I used to go to the gym all the time (all the way through pregnancy), but now with the little one I don't go any more. So I can understand not going to the gym, LOL. I try to do workouts outside or at home. I took Kian in his stroller for a jog yesterday, I do TaeBo (a DVD) at home and I do strength training with dumbbells at home.
I eat somewhat healthy, I bring my lunch to work, eat lots of fruit and veggies, but I love to cook and eat and so I am guilty of large portion sizes (especially when nursing  )
Maybe we can encourage each other.

Hi Nika,
I didn't see your diary until after I posted. It sounds like a really good idea. I will be sitting down tomorrow I think and planning a week ahead for meals and look into exercise classes and maybe slimming world. A diary is a good idea, just hope I can stick to it. Would be good to support one another too, it's good to have someone who understands.

Sorry Nicki, we must have posted at the same time. I think we might be able to get a few people to join us maybe start our own thread or something. It is hard not to eat when nursing so you must be careful because you do need the calories. I have exactly the same problem with portion sizes especially as my dh eats like a horse and doesn't gain an ounce.
Re: I really need some motivation!
I wish you luck.I know it's hard to get motivsted.I an only reccomend some things for exerise. For example.I love horse riding and it's great for toning up 'problem areas' So I went to see the local horse farm and asked.Turns out he'll not only let me ride some of his horses but pay you for it if you do it on a regular bassis (3 times a week or so) I saw what I wanted and went and asked (go look at the whole secret forum) if there's a will there's a way. It's just about taking the first step.
In your case...perhaps there is something you love to do that is good excercise for you?Such as dancing?(i LOVE salsa,) go online and google it with your nearest big town.Women are ALWAYS trying to loose weight/tone up,so chances are in your circle of friends you can find a girlfriend/collegue/family member who would be willing to meet you to go 'dancing' to the gym, walking SOMETHIN a few times a week. It's best if it's fun for you...I love swimming and in new jersey was tryign to find someone to go wsimming with.Getting others involved is always a great motivation for me.That and it being something fun.Like the horse riding.as soon as the baby is a bit bigger and I can pump some milk,I wil leave her with hubby a coupld of times a week and go horse riding for 2-3 hours!
Those are my suggestions.

Really! My hubby has like 3 milkshakes everynight while he's trying to quit smoking...not an ounce!

Me too! Now I'm driving I won't be walking to work (1.7 miles per journey) so I need help. I have a fitness kit that my bf got me, but I just need a push to actually do it!

I like Tae bo! It's a martial arts cardio work out, and not only is it fun, it helps you vent frustration. I imagine I am practicing to beat up DH's crazy ex

Re: I really need some motivation!
We should do something on here, where we have to each set our own dates/times when we'll exercise. And record it on here, and have a go if we don't
I need nagging at lol.
