I was thinking this must be a hard transition for him. You're both really young and you guys didn't really have the luxury of living together for very long, sharing expenses, before Kaydance came along. It's hard for some people (me and MrG included!) to have "our money." It's hard to share sometimes.

MrG and I still have separate stuff. He pays some stuff, and I pay him back half. And vice versa. Even the grocery bill -- I don't pay for his deodorant and he doesn't pay for tampons! Even when we go out to dinner! It's a complex system, lol, but it works for us. But yes, we do have an account of "our" money, and we have relaxed about some things -- particularly auto expenses since he drives my car and I drive his truck. Since our incomes are not drastically different (it's about a 60%/40% split between us), it works for us.

You can always try it as a last resort! And then if he has any left of "his" money, he can spend it on that damn car.

Remember - this is a forum full of WOMEN and we all have a DH, DF, SO, or AHole in our lives!!!!
What a boring forum this would be if everyday we were all like, "lahdeedah - my life is soooo wonderful and my DH is soooo amazing!"

You vent any time you need to vent!

I completely agree, with Lou Lou, Nika. I totally understand that when things are hunky dory, it's easy to just move on with daily life, and be relaxed. But when things get bad, you just gotta let it out! I don't think your DF is a bad guy at all, he's just a GUY. They all do dumb things.

You should have seen the argument DH and I had on monday night! It's rare that I get that mad. He was afraid to talk to me properly until the next evening, when he finally said all cute-see on the phone.... "So are we friends again?"

We love them a lot. We are perfect for them, they are perfect for us, but it's not always a bed of roses. I actually think it's nice to come on here, and see how our relationships evolve and heal, it gives hope to others who might be struggling

Like Tiff said, I think it's good for us to hear about other women's frustrations -- it can help put your own situation into perspective. And also, if you're wrong, you're gonna hear that too! Sometimes it's better to vent to us then to blow up at DF.

I certainly didn't think badly of him, non of us are perfect. I imagine that my bf would be same (but with computers) if we lived together now. I've said to him, after Christmas we're going to have to save and not spend as much. He now realises lol.

LOL! Nika! No-one thinks bad of him hun! We all vent now and then about our other halfs, doesn't mean we don't love them anymore! Thats the good thing about this place, no-one judges you for anything!

I'm guilty as well. It's nice to vent, get genuine feedback, clear your head and refocus.
