Old wives tales

Ok so there are a lot of old wives tales out there to try and predict the gender of your unborn baby. Have you tried any? what are some you know of and did they work? Ill list a few to get started, could be fun!

The chinese birthchart
ring over belly - circles girl, back and forth - boy
hair line on the back of your last child, if it goes to a point your next will supposdly be a girl if it is strait across it will be a boy.
Carrying high=girl, carrying low=boy
craving sweets=girl, craving sour=boy
another wedding ring test, place wedding ring on a strand of hair and hold over your left wrist and it is spose to tell you how many children you will have and the order of the genders. it will slow right down or stop in between children and completley stop when you have finished, this will also include miscarriages or terminations. circle for girl, pendulum swing for boys.

I have heard that if you have a lot of indigestion/acid reflux then the baby will have lots of hair, don't know quite how that would work though.

i had the most god awful heartburn from like 12 weeks till the day kaydance was born, i mean i got up 2 or 3 times in the night just to drink a glass of milk and eat a bunch of tums!!!

she has a FULL head of hair when she came out lol! charles said thats all you could see when i was having her, was a big ol mop of dark hair lol.

so i guess that one worked for me, but i never tried any of the chinese tests or anything like that, so i dont know.

I did the wedding ring thing, my husband's grandmother made me, and she told me that she had done this with all her friends, and it had never been wrong. According to the way my ring was a-swinging, I was having a BOY.

Isn't my daughter cute??? LOL.

Oh and p.s, my friend is pregnant with her second child, a boy. Her first born is also a boy. With her first pregnancy, she threw up every day until she was like 7 months pregnant. With this pregnancy, she didn't feel sick hardly at all.

So I think that smashes the theory that you are sicker with girls than boys, or vice versa. I think it just means that every pregnancy is different, it matters not the gender of the baby.

I pray that my next pregnancy will be easier.

I agree with the hair thing as I drank bottles of gaviscon when pregnant, and jake had lots of hair!!!

Lucy is a girl and she was carried high ... so that agrees with that wives tale.

I agree with hairy theory. Both my girls gave me really bad heart burn, Jayden had me to the point where I couldn't sleep lying flat, but had to just prop pillows and lean back slightly to sleep. DF said all he could see was black hair as she was pushing her way out.
