I dont' have a pic of what I want, but to give you an idea, dark cupboards with an off-whitish counter top, attached sink, light floors and 'maybe' green walls. DF is going to see the kitchen designer tomorrow to get started...

Way darker, quit it you are getting me excited!!!
Okay I found a few ideas, but trust me, it'll look not this fancy, hehe!! So my counter top will be light, flooring will be light tile sorta matching the counter top and the dark cupboards.
Here's also a layout of my new kitchen, very simple, not much room to play once our kitchen table is in there.

Re: Kitchen/Laundry Reno - UPDATED JULY 1st, COUNTERTOP PICS!!
It will all be worth it in the end hun! When we had our kitchen done BF did it all so most of it was done at weekends and in the evening after he finished work. It seemed to take FOREVER and was a real pain in the ass but I love it now and it really needed doing. Our old kitchen was disgusting! I love the colour of those units and I went for a pale green in my kitchen too but mine is that pale it's almost white, well it is called Apple White after all! lol!
Re: Kitchen/Laundry Reno - UPDATED JULY 1st, COUNTERTOP PICS!!
That looks great Gutter. I can't wait to see how it all turns out!
You should Get Lou Lou to look at this... she's an interior designer, I'll bet she'd give you any tips you wanted on paint or decor

It must be nice to have a handy man who can do it all!
My DH was struggling with the baby safety latches on the cupboards a few days back!
LOL.

LOL, yeah DF has done way too many things in his day, so he knows a bit of everything. FUnny is that he's a Photo Lab Manager in retail, haha!! He's doing the gutting, plumbing, electrical, flooring, building 2 walls and adding a window and door. Just the drywall he's iffy about doing himself because in order for it to look nice, an experienced person should do it. We weren't pleased with his dads work in Audrey's room.
He plans on having the room completely gutted during the weekend, which means I gotta get the garbage bag out and finish some of the clean up tonight and tomorrow. Just too dirty in there right now and can't do it for long periods of time without me coughing.

Wow that looks like some major remodeling, Gutter!!!But it will be sooo worth it in the end. I also LOVE the dark cabinets - that's what I would choose if I got to redo our kitchen, LOL.

Yeah totally I have not known anyone with a washer/dryer in their kitchen until I met some of the UK girls on here. Actually ours was in a seperate room that will be demolished and we are building 2 walls at our rear entrance and making that the laundry room. So where the white door is in the kitchen, will be opened up to the once outside entrance instead.
You'll see once we are done...DF plans on demo this weekend, just gotta finish taking everything out, not much left.

Re: Kitchen/Laundry Reno - UPDATED JULY 1st, COUNTERTOP PICS!!
Nice to see the progression gutter. Was that faux or real brick? Whatever, it's a real piece of work....brick AND paneling! lol. I still think my kitchen is uglier, much uglier, but our floors run neck and neck in ugly!
And since it was mentioned, I'm used to washer/dryers in the basement, but basements are very common here. When we build our new house though, I WILL have a first floor laundry room (not kitchen). I'm tired of lugging baskets up and down the stairs and having to manuever them through a doorway and past the refrigerator (basket barely fits). At least hubby is planning a laundry chute in the floor of our remodelled bathroom. That will eliminate half of the basket-toting!

haha fake brick wallpaper, GOSH I'll be happy to see it go!! Our laundry room will be main floor too, DF has been thinking of putting it upstairs but I think that's not going to work since our floors are creeky and wobbly upstairs.
Should be pretty near gutted today, I'll update pics hopefully tonight!!! DF has been off all day and with our daughter at the sitters, there better be nothing left, haha!!

omg you should see the pics now, i'll get them on tonight I hope. We are down to the studs on 3 walls, the 1 wall has the same metal siding as outside, so I think that'll be a job to remove....I'll have to show you when I gets pics.
