ADD/ADHD or Tonsil/Adnoids? Empty ADD/ADHD or Tonsil/Adnoids?

I was reading Parenting magazine today and it was talking about ADD and ADHD. It said children are being misdiagnosed with these two disorders when it's actually a tonsil/adnoids problem!!!!! When I read that I thought it was weird but it went on to say that tonsil/adnoid problems cause children to develop sleep apnea which causes attention span problems because they are tired. Parents don't connect the problem because most of the time we assume tonsil/adnoid problems mean our children have sore throats but it's not always the case!!!! It also said children that always seem stuffed up or have asthma may actually have tonsil or adnoid problems and it can either be cleared up with a round of antibiotics or they may need to take them out.

just thought I'd pass this along. If you think you have a child suffering from one of these it may be worth checking into!

Jadah had her tonsils/adenoids taken out this past summer. She was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I remember the doctor being surprised that we weren't experiencing behavioral problems with her because her tonsils were so jacked up, and she had apnea pretty bad they said(never tested). So, yeah I can definitely see how it could correlate.
