White Lily!

I know White Lily (mel) hasn't posted here in awhile but I don't think she'll mind me sharing her long-awaited news......she got her today!!!!!! This is after over 3 years of trying, diagnosis of a few problems including a unicornate uterus, and now IVF. But she's pregnant!!! Got her at 15DPO.

Hope she checks in here to see she has support here as well! Love you, mel!

Awww thanks ladies!!!! And thank you Bethy for posting the news over here I've had a few messages on facebook asking me to update so here I am!

After 3 years and 8 months I finally got a !!!!! It was my first IVF cycle that it worked so I feel very lucky indeed! I have been very naughty and tested early, the date the clinic gave me is actually Saturday 27th so it hasn't been confirmed yet and I was nervous at first it could be a false positive as I had the hcg trigger shot, but from searching and searching on line I am pretty confident that should be out of my system by now! Plus the tests are nice strong lines, if it was the remains of the trigger I would have thought the line would be very faint! I am still trying to be cautious as I know it's early days and I am terrified to be honest! lol!

I feel I owe an explanation as to why I dissapeared too The truth is I just couldn't cope. I feel so horrible saying this but I also feel I should be honest. I loved this forum when it was first set up, and although it seemed to be primarily set up for parents, I didn't feel left out at all. Then, all of a sudden there was a rush of 's, now normally this wouldn't have such an effect on me, I had been ttc for long enough to be used to that, but this was different. This was the ladies I had been ttc with a couple of years before, suddenly they were getting pregnant with their second children! I had shared so much of their journeys the first time round and now here they were again, pregnant again, leaving me behind again. Now please don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have wanted any of you ladies to struggle, and I WAS happy you were pregnant again, especially the ones that had taken a while to get pregnant with their first child, but I also felt VERY sad for me. I didn't want to feel bitter towards anyone so I decided to stay away for a couple of days, that turned into a couple of weeks and that turned into months. It was nothing at all against any of you, but as my journey had moved on and I needed IVF I felt it was a different kind of support I needed, from women that understood what I was going though.

Anyway, sorry for the looooong post! lol! And I really hope I didn't offend anyone with what I have said. Thank you all so much for the congrats and Angel I LOVE the banner!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!

Mel - I have just been over to AWH to tell you how thrilled I am with your news never expecting you to post here LOL!!!!! ........I suspected you drifted away from this site for the exact reason you stated and I do totally understand why - if I had been in your position I may have done the same, I do remember how hard it was to watch what seemed like everyone get 's whilst month after month thing's just didn't happen for me, my god when I think back that it took us a year to conceive that's nothing in comparison to you but to see the same people (i.e. me) get their second must have been extremely difficult.

Anyway....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I am genuinely really thrilled for you, you deserve this so much and if truth be told I have NEVER stopped stalking you and your chart, I was selfishly gutted when you stopped temping for a bit to ease the obsession (as it turns into)....this moment is all yours, cherish it and enjoy it, pregnancy is a worry, being a Mum is a worry the worrying never stops but it's the most magical and moving experiences of your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x x x x

Oh Mel, I am so not offended and totally appreciate why you stayed away. YOu were such a tower of support to many of us when you yourself were longing for a baby. I have got my fingers soooo tightly crossed for you, please keep us updated on how you are, thinking of you (and I never have forgotten about our ttcers who are still ttc, you are always in my mind!!!!).

On AWH some of you asked for a pic of my test, to tell you the truth I have no clue how to put pics on there but most of you who asked post here too so here's a picture of both tests...



The top was taken at 13 DPO (15 days after trigger, 8 days after transfer) it looks fainter on that pic than it did when I first did it. The second was taken at 14 DPO (16 days after trigger, 9 days after transfer). The second one especially is a very dark line so I am sure it can't be down to the remains of the trigger shot!

Hun, i am so happy for you and not upset with why you stayed away at all, i too have felt like that at times with my bumpy ride. I too am one of the people who was TTc with you and we shared our journeys. And i coudltn be happier for you, you deserve it so so much, and will be a wonderful mother xoxo

I think it's safe to say we all understand why you left for a while. , pregnancy and being a parent are such difficult subjects. We all handle it differently and we can all appreciate each other's journey.

lol, I saw it after I had already posted here! See, we're all trying to take care of you, lol.

Mel I am so thrilled for you. I understand why you stopped posting, no hard feelings. After I miscarried my first baby, I stopped posting on AWH for a while, I couldn't stand to look at the pregnancy forum that I was once a part of, and when all the ladies who got pregnant at the same time as me had their babies, it broke my heart. Not that I wasn't happy for them, but it still was difficult.

Wishing you a healthy happy 9 months, and we love you, welcome back!

SUPER CONGRATS MEL!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I too stay gone quite often from here and feel guilty about it, but I have been consumed in "real life" lately I very much can see how you would have stayed away from the boards, and no one could fault you for that. You are human and any of us would/could have done that same thing.

I am so happy for you!!! I cannot believe after almost 4 years this is finally YOUR time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for yoU! I'll have to come on here and check out your progress and your bump WE ARE ALL SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
