When did you DTD?

I am researching whether you can actually time BDing accordingly to conceive a specific gender, namely a GIRL.
There are 2 known methods for conceiving a GIRL and that is the shettles method where you time BDing several days before you ovulate, preferably not closer than 2 days before. This method is 75-80% effective. (no BDing in-between)
and the 0+12 method where you have to DTD 12 hours after ovulation has occured. You can do this by taking your temp at various points of the day (during your fertile phase) and once you see your temp has risen you DTD. You MUST NOT allow your partner to ejaculation up to 7 days before you DTD.
So those of you who have been blessed with baby girls, do you remember when you DTD??? (This is a multiple choice question)

Ok, so my baby girl is now almost 10 years old but I remember her being conceived on the day of ovulation. It was the only day we DTD that month because he was away a lot with work.
Ethan was also conceived either the day before, or on the day of ovulation!

I DTD on the day of ovulation. It was the only time I did it during my fertile window.

It's hard to say. I BD'd 5 days and 1 day before ovulation and also 3 days after ovulation, but anything is possible and FF could of picked the wrong ovulation date. I honestly think I conceived after ovulation though.

It would make sense if you had sex with-in 24 hours of your egg 'popping' as such but do you think that an egg can really live for longer than 24 hours, I mean 3 days is pushing it...of course like you've said though FF may have got your ovulation date slightly wrong which wouldn't be un-heard of so there is a very good chance that you did have sex after ovulation had occured making the 0+12 method true to it's theory!!

i really dont know as i was tracking my cycle, but i am pretty sure we had sex ON ovuation day if not on that day it was the day before !!! so that is why we thought we were having a boy but nope lol

Hey Georgi!
I think it also depends on diet, as a diet high in calcium and magnesium as this repels male sperm. I was on herbal tablets for my pcos and they were high in those vitamins.
Also the sexual position matters too!
If you BD with the woman in the more aggressive possitions (like on top) you are likely to get a boy. This is to do with the sperm being closer to the cervix. I conceived baby standing up LOL
and it wasnt very "deep" penetration per say. OOh la la

Thanks so much for your input D4A, lovely to see a post from you BTW, I hope you are well and baby J is well.
Since I first posted this I have researched and found lots of methods/tips/diets etc...to help conceive a GIRL, so hopefully when the time comes (I feel it will be sooner rather than later) we can put ALL of the info together and give us as much chance as possible to have a baby girl!

I think that position and diet may be as influential as the timing of intercourse , as I had sex 24 hours before ovulation and still had a girl.
Cut down on salt completely, eat lots of dairy products, and have shallow penetration!!
