WE NEED YOUR OPINION...
Hello everyone,
Angel and I are currently in debate on whether we should have buddy groups or not particularly with-in the "Parenting" forum but we thought the best way to make this decision was to ask you "The Members" afterall it, this forum is about you
A buddy group (or support group) is somewhere where members can up date other members (us) on the day to day goings on in their life, update us all on their babies/children, amongst other things. The negatives about having buddy groups is it does divide members up whether it be by their childs age or simular factors.
So would you prefer we had Buddy groups or just post freely when we have something to say or update everyone on? the negatives to this is as the forum gets more popular posts can be missed and slowly drop to the bottom of the forum making members feel left out.
So what do you think?

Re: WE NEED YOUR OPINION...
I think a buddy group is a good idea as someone who may join who is a new mum in say 6 or 7 months time can go and see the 0-6mnth post and find things that may be relevant to them. i like the ages and stages idea as we can read ahead of what we may expect to come.

I do like the idea of having a buddy group - and just because there is a group doesn't mean you can't post topics separately.
I do think the groups could be bigger, 0-6, 6-12. When the babies are 0-3 it's hard for moms to come on and post at all.
I also think being closely tied with moms that are out of those first rough months could encourage the moms with newborns.

i couldnt agree more!!! i think larger gaps in the groups is the way to go!
i also agree there should be groups otherwise people tend to miss things, or not check all the threads!
