Re: What are you reading?
I just joined a Bible study at a local church and we are studying the book of John. It's been a challenge just to read the one chapter a week and then figure out what it means!
I love to read books but since Owen came along I've had to put most of my reading on the back burner. When I do read it's usually about baby stuff!
sigh.... I do miss reading for fun!!!!

Re: What are you reading?
You guys have to read the Twilight series, by Stephenie Meyer. You will love it. The books in the series are as follows:
1)Twilight
2)New Moon
3)Eclipse
4)Breaking Dawn
I swear to you, you will love them. If you feel like you don't have time to read, you can listen to the audio book here :
I swear you will not be disappointed. I was hooked by page 57.

Re: What are you reading?
I'm reading 'The Historian' by Elizabeth Kostova. It's a modern-day take on the myth of Dracula. Very gripping and creepy but also interesting in terms of the history behind the legend.

Trashy, easy, mindless reads! lol....
When I find an author I like, I try to read them all. I've finished this one this weekend, and have 2 more on reserve at the library.

Re: What are you reading?
When you finish a book do you leave it a while before starting a new one or go straight onto a new book ??

Re: What are you reading?
I go through phases with reading. Sometimes I read loads and other times I can go a couple of months without even picking up a book. I will have to look at the book I am reading when I get home, can't remember the title or the auther! lol!!! It's a thriller though!!!
Re: What are you reading?
I am always reading. Lucy has been hard on my concentration lol. Before her I could plow through just about any book in a day. Now it might take me up to a week to read one.....
One of the nearby libraries has a friends of the library group who sell used books for $.25 each to raise money for the library. I buy most of my books there, so alot are a few years old. Especially when I was pregnant I read alot, so now I have a ton of books. If I think about it I will weed a few out and take them back to the library with me and give them back to the friends to sell again. I don't get actual library books because somehow I always end up paying overdue fines....

Re: What are you reading?
I'd "like" to call myself an avid reader. I'd rather read than watch TV for sure. But I also go thru periods that I just can't find a good book to "get into" and if I don't really get into it and look forward to reading it, it lays there until I find a new one.
I get most of my books from the library. But also pay alot of overdue fines. My dd likes to get movies from there so we go at least 2x a week, but I could own 1/2 the library at this point.
I also go to Half Price Books and get used books.
Do you keep your books or pass them on? I mostly keep all mine, unless I didn't like them. Then I go to www.bookcrossing.com register my book and leave it somewhere. It's a pretty cool website, you can track your book if people register it.

Re: What are you reading?
I looked to see what book I am currently reading. It's called Losing you by Nicci French. Its taking me a while to get into it but it's getting quite good now!
Re: What are you reading?
I just started new one and it's called, "A Season Beyond A Kiss" by Kathleene Woodiwiss. It's a historical romance novel, which is my favorite genre to read.

Re: What are you reading?
Oh boy, I so want to read something, but I haven't read a book in a while since I am still finishing up my dissertation and that involves reading all the time, that I never pick up a book to read for fun. But hopefully by the spring this diss is done and I will have time to catch up on reading again. I used to love to read...
