Parent Woes
My mom has enlarged lymph nodes...breast cancer has been ruled out but every search I does says enlarged lymph nodes can be lots of things but in the end they all say lymphoma. This isn't fair. I don't want to jump to conclusions but I need someone to say this isn't a death sentence or that everything will end up being alright. She made it through an eight hour heart surgery it doesn't seem right for this to happen now.

Re: Parent Woes
Oh my goodness. It's not a death sentence no.Enlarged lymph nodes, could mean an infection in reaction to the immune system. It could mean sevral things. My stepfather had this after he was opperated on for malignany melanoma (nasty form of skin cancer).Everyone assumed is was cancer but it was not thank god. This was 11 years ago and he is still going strong.
I am a huge fan of internet research EXCEPT when it comes to researching illness. It always terrifies us and gives us these hidious diagnosys' Until somebody sais it for sure please try not to think the worst as it could mean anything right now.Your mother is obviously a very strong woman for surviving all she had already.Keep thinking strong for her.I know you cant help but worryits natural but ANYTHING is possible.I am sending you hugs n strength.

Momma bear, I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. It is so scary to think that someone so close to you could have a serious disease, I know.
I would like to give you some tips though. My mom's good friend was diagnosed with lymponic cancer 23 years ago. She has beat it twice. She hasn't had any relapses for the past 11 years, she has been juicing tons of raw carrots which are natural antioxidants, and she has also been drinking green tea daily, and taking goji and noni juice. She swears by these two things. Hopefully your mom just has an immune thing going on right now, but either way, swollen lymph nodes mean that there is some kind of toxin built up in her body, and I think that the things I mentioned would really help her.
We are here for you hun. Stay strong, think positive.

Thanks everyone I needed to hear that. It is one of those things that you don't want to worry and not even think the worst but sometime you cannot help it creaping in. My aunt died from leukemia which started as lymphoma as did a great aunt so my mind easily thinks of them. But I am determined not to worry another second until a test says otherwise.

Momma Bear -
When will you know more about your mom's health?
I know you are scared. It's scary to think about something happening to our parents!
Please keep us posted on things!
I'll keep her in my prayers!
