Weening - Help for Mom
I thought I'd start a new topic just because this has nothing to do with the baby part of the process.
I slowly weened Owen over a 2 month period and he has had no breast milk since January 1st.
I noticed back in December that I was having a lot of cramping and even thought I ovulated at one point but I have yet to have . I don't think I'm pregnant although I guess it's always a possibility. I have absolutely NONE of the symptoms I had with my last two pregnancies..... anyway.
For those of you that weened, how quickly did you have your first ? Did you feel like it was never going to happen or did you fall back into a normal pattern quickly?
I guess I'm a little freaked out because I just called my ob-gyn to get back on the pill and she said, "Oh? You haven't had yet? Well, wait two more weeks and then if you still haven't you'll need to come in for a pregnancy test." WTF!!! I wasn't prepared for that comment at all! I am having a lot of watery CM..... isn't that a sign that is on the way? I can't remember all the signs to look for now and in which order!!!!

Re: Weening - Help for Mom
Well Lou Lou, I was one of the unlucky ones who got at like 6 weeks PP even though I was nursing TONS!!! My cycle is extrememly irregular though. My luteal phase is like 9 days instead of 13 days and all wacky!
As for the watery cm, i had that before AND I had it also when i was pg and didn't know it cuz i started crying when i had it hinking there was no way i could be pg! And of course,I was...but its a symptom for both!
Hmm...it's possible too that your body geared up for ovulation, but it didn't happen. HOpefully you are not pg if that is not what you want right now. I'm sorry i can't be of more help. Once I MOSTLY weaned Thane and he went on solids, my periods are SORTA regular (like between 30 and 40 days).
XXXXXX Good luck!
