Can't find What's New?
HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe i am actually SITTING at my computer and typing again!! HOW ARE ALL OF YOU!?!??!!
I am doing GREAT!! I didnt want to post on Facebook, but hubby and I just became owners of 15 acres of some BEAUTIFUL land at the foot of the Cumberland Mountain. Its amazing and so beautiful and we will hopefully start building our dream home (with storm shelter AND basement! LOL) after our house sells. If you know anyone wanting to move to Estill Springs, we are really to sell!
Thane is doing great, talking 90 mph, full of energy, learning manners, trying to sing ABC's but really loves the HIJKLMNOP part the best, he can count to 10 but only on HIS terms! He is the MOST stubborn little cuss you could imagine, just like his mommy He is still tiny, 26 lbs and about 34 inches tall, and YES STILL FRIGGIN NURSING!! LOL Mostly just at night or when i curb a tantrum but he is really doing well. I bought him some little boy underwear today, so we may try potty training soon! When he saw them, he said "I go pee pee in the potty!!!" it was cute!
Everyone is doing great, just been busy, stressed about selling my house, and buying land! but, things are great! I'll try to post a pic of hte land hang on...
That's what it looks like from the front of the land. It backs up all the way to the edge of the mountain. We LOVE it!!
I wanted to post this in whats new but wasn't sure where it was! i can't find it! but anyway, i hope everyone is great! Hello to all you pg mommas (all 20 of you! LOL) And those special ladies still ! I wish you all the best! xoxoxoxoox

http://www.theplancollection.com/house-plans/home-plan-6178/big-images
We actually are going to rent about 14 acres to local farmers to plant soybeans and corn fields, so that will be really pretty around the house And basically, Ray will hunt, and I will just sit back and enjoy the BEATIFUL VIEWS!!!! I am so very excited and cannot wait to start building! We have no idea where we will live. We may live with Ray's nannie for a month or so, so we can save up some extra cash. But, that's cool...hot meals daily, free childcare...i think i could live with that
I would LOVE to post pix of the progress! Hopefully i'll have an easy internet connection, it may be hard to post from my phone. Of course, WHO KNOWS when we will ever get to start building I am really excited though! Thanks for the comments Lindzee and Melanie!

Re: Can't find What's New?
LMAO Holi!!! haha!!! Well, let's see Hillsboro is actually about 20 minutes closer maybe...BUT maybe not Look up Stephenson Rd, 37342 on google maps and see how far it is You will get off at the same exit on I24 but instead of going past the Air Force Base you will turn the opposite way towards hillsboro i love it!
I am a little nervous though cuz ray is talking about living in a d@mn trailer for like 6 months or more while he builds the house :'( You know me...i've already been on the tornado database to see how many tornadoes have gone thru there...there was actually an F3 that was RIGHT there in 1959 :S So that sux...
anyways, we'll be fine you know me, thinking of storms!!! LOL

Re: Can't find What's New?
Hey Gin Gin.....so sorry I am late in responding to your fabulous news this is amazing, the location is breathtaking....you are SOOOOOOOOO lucky!!!!!!! I don't want you to broadcast how much this is costing but we would have to win the lottery to own such a vast amount of land in such an idyllic location this is truely amazing Ginny, I am so happy for you and your little family.
You know I still wanna come over and stay with you....we've just had a lot going on in our lives focusing money else where...but I believe there will come a time that I will be able to start saving money again....I was doing so well too it's just a shame I had to hand over the savings so that we could move into this house!!!

Hey Ladies!
HEre is the newest pix of our land
We got our well put in and the driveway. The driveway is 1/10 of a mile. smaller than i thought
So here they are
The well is 160 feet deep, the water is very good water in the rocks.
Thane playing on the driveway under a huge tree
Our backyard. This is the homesite:
Thane and that dang loud, red lego truck LOL he HAD to take it to "our yand"

Re: Can't find What's New?
How cool will the well become your main source of drainage i.e. for the toilet?? It looks so pretty Ginny and HUGE!!!!
Re: Can't find What's New?
Thank you Georgi!! LMAO Though!!! I definitely HOPE the toilet sewage doesn't get anywhere NEAR the well! The well is our only source of water, drinkable water, shower water, toilet water, all water for the whole house will be from this well We are going to buy some spiffy filtration system i reckon so the water will be very clean. The septic system is what you mean and it will be in the front of the house far away from the well!
Dunno how it is in england, but over here in the south anyway, we have city water and well water. City water is where the water comes from a specific place, maybe a big lake or something nearby. The city cleans it up and filters it and puts it in a big water thing and then when you build your house you get some pipe run underground that connects to the city water pipe and u are good to go! You get a monthly bill based on how much water you use. Usually ours is $35 a month. City water can cost 1 to 2 thousand dollars to have installed at your house.
The well, is a lot more expensive. It willl be close to 6 thousand cuz they had to dig so deep, but the water is awesome! We will not have a monthly water bill, once we hook it up we have water. That tank that you see holds some water so even if the power goes off we will still have water. We have a submersible pump, so we don't have to worry about it losing pressure if the power goes out.
There are pros and cons to both, but wells these days are getting pretty cool and it will be nice to not have a water bill BUT, of course, its so much more expensive that it will take 15 years to pay for itself! LOL BUT, on this land to run city water probably would have been about $20,000 or more cuz it stops a mile down the road :S So...we had no choice but get well water
Whew - sorry for this boring account of city vs well...i just woke up and laughed when i read you talking a bout the toilet
Thank you Georgi!!!!!! Have a great day!!!!!!!

Re: Can't find What's New?
I'm SO excited for you, once you get the people to build it,how long will it take before you can move in? 3 months? 6 months? Any luck on selling your house? Have yout hought of advertising it abroad? Us foreigners like us some country homes n such!
Re: Can't find What's New?
I burst out laughing too when I read Georgi's question about the well! Good for a laugh, dear, and an honest mistake!
Place looks awesome Ginny, and I'm quite jealous! MrG and I are still years away from building on our land.

Re: Can't find What's New?
I also had a good ol' laugh at Georgi's question, hehe! We have town water, haha!! When we first moved in it was $45 a month, now it's $60 a month, they must be adding something pretty darn good to our water, lol!!
Ginny, awesome pics, I am sooo excited for you!

Well I have no idea where our water actually comes from, we pay a monthly bill always been that way and always will be. We don't have any other options.
