A few vacation pics

somehow my first post got lost......grrrr!

Just shameless bragging here! Still working on my photography skills and our girl Morgan is always a favorite subject. She got to play in the Clarion River in Pennsylvania several times during our recent vacation. She's part Labrador Retriever, part German Shepherd, part somethin'-somethin', so not surprisingly she's a natural retriever and loves the water, and now her swimming is getting stronger too. Now 2-1/2yrs old, she is well-travelled, having been in 11 or 12 states already! Here are a few of the best pics -- thanks for letting me brag!

OH beth she is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! WOW!! Thanks for sharing, she reminds me of a black "Harley" my old white german shepherd who went missing. Wow, those are just AWESOME pix! Is that camera HD? It is REALLY good! I love your model GREAT PIX!!!!!!!!!

OMG Ginny, what happened to Harley?? i remember pics. NICE looking dog. I would be so devestated if something happened to Morgan. Both hubby and I had a hard time losing his dog (lab/shepherd) in 2003 and then my dog (German shepherd) in 2007...but they were old girls and become ill. I can't imagine having a pet disappear.

If I go nuts taking pics of a dog, can you imagine what I'd do with a baby?

I have a Nikon D40 SLR (that means no shutter delay) digital camera. 6.2 megapixels I believe. I have a longer lens that lets me get those close up shots and capture details like water spray really well. Looking at the pics closer now, I like the content of the shots but wish some of the lighting was better. Hard to take outdoor shots on a sunny day of a black dog...one side of her face is often shaded. But I never notice these things while I'm taking pics, only afterwards!

She is gorgeous Beth, the pics are fantastic, dogs running through water can be hard to take, i use to be SUPER trigger happy takig photos of my dogs too. Super loved and super lucky dogs!!
