Well hubby and I had sex tonight but it kinda sucked. But at least it's done. If I don't get a temp rise tomorrow, I don't know what I'll do.

Whenever I see EWCM, it's a very pleasant surprise. I seldom see anything at all. Just drying up with old age I guess.

I forgot to say, when I asked hubby for sex last night, he said "Why?" Gosh, that makes me feel so darn good, you know? But I was thinking of you Lindzee (in a non-creepy way!) and thought, that this is what you'd suggest......so while he was in the shower, I just got naked and got in bed. Thought it might be harder for him to resist that way. Well, he wasn't appropriately enthusiastic, but he did come to bed. But if a man can just lay there, he just laid there. Oh so much fun.

Anyway, my temp was back up this morning, but somehow I don't think this is it. It's just back to where it was two days ago.

Well today I've been feeling a lot tenderness in my lower abdomen and maybe bloated too. And irritable -- well maybe that's related to last night and not to ovulation, lol. Anyway, think this might be it. I suppose another BDing would be great, but I just don't think I can do it. It's gets to be like a rejection and it hurts me emotionally.

I REALLY hope this is it for you Beth! My fingers are crossed that your temp goes up even more tomorrow to confirm O.
I am so sorry about how your DH is making you feel in regards to sex. I think that would make anyone feel emotionally hurt. I think he is one of the few guys out there who doesn't always like having sex with their wife. Rejection is like a slap in the face and that hurts in more way than one. I am thinking of you. xoxo

I don't get it.....I had such ovulation pain and tenderness last night that I was SURE I'd see a temp rise today, but NOTHING. Grrrrrr.

Well still NOTHING on my chart! And it's CD17 now. So timing is out the window now because I gave up on BDing every othr day. I guess it's just a waiting game.

I just got my OPKs in the mail this afternoon!! I am excited to start using them next week!! Silly, I know!

Now I know your schedule might not be as flexible as mine, but this is how I used OPKs.....

I'd use the restroom before I went to lunch at noon. I try not to drink too much at lunch and then not use the restroom again until at least 2:30 (3-1/2hrs). Longer if I can. No drinking after lunch.

I got to be an expert at peeing on myself!

What type are they? the strips or a regular stick type?

I have to admit I'm disappointed in my failing ovaries this cycle. I felt I was gearing up for something good only to have things fizzle out.

Thanks for the OPK advice Beth. I am not sure I want to do them at work?! I think I will do it when I get home around four and try not to pee after lunch time if possible. Does that work, you think?? They are the strip kind that I think you are supposed to dunk in a cup of pee. Fun fun?!

I am really disappointed for you too this month Beth. I had my hopes up that this was going to be such a good month for you. It is so hard not to get your hopes up. But what are we without hope? I am sending you hugs!

Even the stick kind I used to dip in a cup anyway. Otherwise it seems I'd pee on it too much or too little. Hard to aim, you know?

No temp rise today. In fact, I'm seeing a slow downward trend in the chart right now, but not sure if it means anything.

Nope, I am not going to temp this cycle!! It is weird not to do it, but I think I need a break from it. I am only doing the OPKs and that's it. So my chart won't be very fun to stalk, that is for sure!

Yea, you've been driving me a bit crazy this cycle! lol.

Not much with me ..... CD20 and no egg. You know that's not normal for me to be that late. I've kinda given up. It's aggravating because I've been having a tender lower abdomen and ovary (?) pain for like a week now. Then earlier today I saw another tiny bit of slightly stretchy CM and a pink/red smear. So I don't know if that means I'm (finally) ovulating or if is on her way....or means nothing at all?

LOL! Sorry to drive you nuts. I was driving myself nuts, so perhaps this will be a good thing. I might do one temp to confirm ovulation but that is it..... we'll see.

UGH. Sorry to hear that you are so frustrated. I would be too if I were you. IT sounds like it could be either O or . Why do our bodies do this to us?? Thinking of you!

Okay, so Beth I need your expertise here! I took my first OPK this afternoon and it didn't show up with ANY Lines?!
I think maybe I need to dip it in the cup of pee for longer. How long did you do? Some directions say 3 seconds some say 5? Let's see how tomorrow goes...?

Lindzee, 3 or 5 seconds is not long enough. Closer to 15. Did you see the control line? If you didn't see that, that's a very good indication you did not leave it in long enough. Do you have the strips or stick? can't remember, sorry. But either way (but easier on the strips) you should dip it and leave it in and watch as the urine moves its way up the strip/stick. Again, it'll take about 10-15 seconds. You'll know it's long enough when you see the control line start to develop.

I just checked the FirstResponse website for instructions and they DID say 5 seconds (mid-stream or dip method) but I still say that's not long enough. I prefer the dip method myself.

Lindzee, how did the OPK work for you today??

SO I went for about 7 seconds or so and it worked! I got two lines, one was faint, so it wasn't positive, but at least it worked! Now I will know what to do. Do you think doing once a day is enough so I don't miss it? Thanks for your help Beth!

I'd stick with once a day. You have had great 7DPO progesterone readings in the past so I'd think that means you have a good strong ovulation....hence a good strong reading on a OPK when it happens. Just try to keep it roughly to the same time everyday.

Doing ok. Just waiting for whatever is going to happen.

I just took another OPK and the line is lighter than yesterday?! I was thinking it would get darker? I am doing them around 4 pm every day. Hmmm. Not sure what to think of that. Will keep testing. I am going to get my progesterone checked this cycle again to make sure everything is still good there.

Take the lighter line with a grain of salt. It's possible the urine was less concentrated/more diluted or something. Or it could just be a variance in the test. What I experienced was half of the line (vertically) would be darker and it would fade to the side. If that's the case, look at the darkest part of the line.

I forgot to mention this earlier. I used to take Evening Primrose Oil capsules (EPO) to help produce more CM, particularly during Clomid cycles. You take it up until you ovulate because it softens the cervix and then stop. I had to experiment with the doseage to find a noticeable result. I can look it up if you want more info.

I had a temp rise today, a .3 to .4 rise. It's higher than the past 6 temps but I had higher ones a few days earlier than that. Can't say for sure if this is it. I've had pain and tenderness for well over a week so that evidently is no indication this time around. On the bright side, MrG wanted a little sumthin'-sumthin' last night so at least there's a chance now, lol.
