Separation Anxiety
I keep coming across this in magazines and books but I was worried as Molly has never shown any signs of separation anxiety. Is this normal? Should I be worried?
Re: Separation Anxiety
Audrey's great with other people too and never seems to settle when she's in my arms, so I have no clue what is normal and what's not normal.

Re: Separation Anxiety
I think the fact that Molly has no anxiety is a sign that she is very balanced, and has a great Mum.
I think all kids go through phases where they are either clingy to their parents, or they are more friendly with others. I have yet to leave LM with a baby-sitter, since I am the one with the separation anxiety.

Re: Separation Anxiety
Galaxy - All babies are different. Just as some go through separation anxiety hell, I'm sure others pretty much by-pass it altogether. Rowan has not suffered with it so far. Of course, I can tell she is always aware of when she is not with me. For instance, if someone else is holding her, she keeps looking over at me all the time to check I'm there but she certainly doesn't burst into tears the minute I leave a room. I think this is because she has had to get used to a) the fact that there is only me, and sometimes I have other stuff to do as well as meet her demands, and b) she has been used to going to stay with her dad for weekends, when obviously, I'm not even in the same town. Count yourself lucky I'd say. I've heard it can be hell!

Re: Separation Anxiety
Ah princess that's sweet darlin. I hope I am! You are probably right too Bryony, I should count myself lucky, I would probably be really stressed if she wouldn't leave my side.
