What kind of digital camera do you have and do you like it? Does it provide all the functions that you need?

I'm asking b/c dd had dropped my camera from a hayride this weekend and it's smashed.
Try to smile and tell her your not mad in front of 20 other people without your face turning 10 shades of red.

The man said "well, looks like you'll get to get a better one next time" He's so dang positive!

I liked mine cause it had a video option that I could take video clips with it.

Mine is a sony and it's pretty good. It has too many functions that I NEVER use like smile detector (takes a picture as soon as it detects a smile without you having to press the button, no idea how it manages it! lol) It does have a video option too. The only problem I have with it is I don't find it to be user friendly!!! Takes me ages to work out how to change things on it.

For user friendliness I don't think you can beat Fuji, my last camera was Fuji and that was brilliant! Oh and that also had video option too, I think most of them do these days!

We have 3 digital cameras. 2 of them are old and dont have video options. The Powershot my fiance has does video clips but I've never used it. I like the zoom on his best.

I want a digital SLR camera. I've been wanting to get into photography but I can't get the old film SLR camera my dad gave me to work.

Mine is a Kodak Easy Share V603.

It looks sharp...shiny black and silver Smile/happy I love shiny things!!!

But the important stuff: It takes videos, VERY quick snaps (there's no delay, no messed up photos), there's a review (see your pic after taking it) like most digital cameras. Also, since it's an Easy Share, it will hook up to one of those little Kodak Easy Share photo printers, which is neat...if only I had one Smile/happy Oh and it's 6.1 mega pixels, whatever that means. It's very small and compact, not bulky at all. Pretty much a perfect little rectangle except when the lens comes out. I can't find it online right now, I'm sure it has been updated with a newer version, but I wanna say we paid about $150 or so for ours.

Thanks for all your replies ladies.
I suppose most of them do have the video option these days.
I would like an SLR digital, but they are sooo expensive. I have to 35mm SLR's and use those when I shoot weddings in such, they're very heavy and bulky...definately 2 handers.
I don't want to spend much over $200.

Myste...maybe you could take it in to a camera shop to see if it's fixable..or worth the $ to fix it?

I have a digital SLR, a Nikon D40, with 2 lenses, and it definitely was expensive. I have about a grand wrapped up in it between camera, lenses, bag, memory cards, and card reader. But I absolutely love it.....just wish I knew better about all the functions. It's a small load to lug around too.

My prior camera, which we still use, is a Kodak. I was always very happy with it. It's pretty beat up now but we still use it for trail riding and at our property. At the time, 2003 I think, the Kodak one was around $300.
