To conceive a GIRL diet plan
Objective is to increase calcium and magnesium while decreasing potassium and sodium for your diet.
Daily recommended supplements
~ Calcium: 800mg.
~ Magnesium: 300mg.
~ Vitamin D.
Daily fluid intake
~ Must be 2-2.5 litres (8-10 glasses).
~ This is very important for calcium absorption.
Milk:
~ Drink 750ml per day (full cream, skim etc).
~ Include two milk products, eg yoghurt and milk pudding (custard) each day.
Eggs:
~ Allowed, but do not introduce forbidden foods (eg cheese omelette).
Cheese:
~ Parmesan cheese, one dessertspoon maximum twice a week.
~ Small serves of cottage cheese.
Tea and coffee:
~ Basically forbidden but one cup only of either is acceptable.
~ It must be very weak.
~ One teaspoon of coffee maximum daily.
Mineral water:
~ Evian, Perrier.
Wine:
~ An occasional drink allowed (150ml).
Meat — maximum 130g per day
Lamb:
~ One mid-loin chop (large): 130g.
~ One chump chop (average): 130g.
~ One forequarter chop: 115-120g.
Beef:
~ One piece of oyster blade (medium): 130-150g.
~ Half a T-bone steak: 130-150g.
~ One piece of eye fillet.
~ One piece of sandwich steak: 60g.
Pork:
~ One butterfly steak: 115-120g.
~ One mid-loin (medium): 120g.
Chicken:
~ One breast BBQ chicken (family size) and meat from one drumstick: :approximately 130g.
Fish:
~ Must be cooked in a "court bouillon" i.e. 500ml water, a little wine or wine vinegar and herbs (this reduces the salt content).
Bread:
~ Must be low salt (content less than one percent).
~ Salt-free crispbread (Lanes Premium 50-percent-less salt cracker).
Pasta:
~ Permitted without restriction, providing forbidden ingredients are not involved in the preparation.
Rice:
~ Brown or white rice allowed.
Cereals:
~ Semolina, tapioca, cornflour, flour allowed.
~ Puffed rice (available at health food stores).
To conceive a BOY diet plan
Objective is to increase sodium and potassium while decreasing magnesium and calcium in your diet
Daily recommended supplements
~ Chlorvescent or Slow K tablets (One tablet to be taken twice daily, morning and evening)
~ Postassium Supplements (200mg per day)
Tea and coffee:
~ As desired (high in potassium).
Fruit juice:
~ 500ml per day.
~ Must be 100 percent pure fruit juice.
~ Do not drink "fruit-based" drinks, as the mineral content is lower.
~ Fruit cordial occasionally.
Mineral water:
~ 500ml per day.
~ Hepburn Spa and Schweppes are the only permitted brands.
Soft drinks:
~ Coca Cola, lemonade, tonic water etc as desired (high in sodium and potassium).
Alcohol:
~ Wine: 300ml maximum per day allowed.
~ Beer and cider: as desired.
~ Spirits: this is due to their diuretic effect, which causes excessive excretion of mineral salts.
Dairy products: (Basically forbidden).
Milk:
~ Forbidden!
~ The soya bean beverage Vitasoy is an acceptable alternative to milk when used in cooking — this brand has the lowest calcium content.
Butter:
~ Salted butter: moderate amount only.
Margarine:
~ Allowed.
Cheese:
~ Forbidden.
Eggs:
~ Whites only allowed.
~ Best avoided but may be used in cooking.
~ Do not use more than twice a week.
Bread:
~ Unrestricted.
~ White and wholemeal allowed.
~ Wholemeal bread is richer in mineral salts, especially potassium, and it also contains phytic acid, which lowers the amount of calcium absorbed by the intestine.
~ Fruit loaf (continental, made with oil and not milk) is allowed.
Meat:
~ Unrestricted
~ Ideal food: grilled or roasted preferred.
~ Beef, lamb, pork, veal, chicken and turkey are all allowed.
~ Liver and kidneys are particularly high in sodium and potassium.
Small goods:
~ Unrestricted.
~ Must be included once a day.
~ These include: ham, salami, cabana, pastrami, chicken roll, sausages, liverwurst, etc.

The 12 hour GIRL method
"The O+12 theory was developed by examining the "New Zealand Study" published in 1984. The study was carried out to test the Shettles theory, by carefully monitoring participants to determine the time of ovulation.
The researchers concluded that the results "clearly refute" the Shettles theory, because most conceptions that occurred 3 to 5 days before ovulation were boys, not girls, as Shettles claimed. Kynzi noticed that the only day on which more girls than boys were conceived was the day following ovulation.
In addition to the New Zealand Study, some information was evidently uncovered indicating that the ratio of female-to-male sperm was greater if a man abstained from ejaculation for a period of time. "
it goes on to say, that if trying for a girl, have your guy refrain from ejaculating for 7 days before you ovulate. then once you show signs of ov, wait 8-12 hours to have sex. the theory is that his 'old' sperm will be full of girls b/c they live longer or something. and then don't have sex again while you are fertile (to keep the boy sperms away from your egg!).
