:af: I'm not quite sure what to do. I know I'm not pregnant but AF still isn't here due to a medication I am taking called amisulpride. I'm wondering if there is any herbal remedy I can try to stop it interfering with my hormones. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am assuming that the medication has delayed ovulation, so you would need to take something to encourage ovulation right??? What about vitex (agnus castus)???

I have got some, does it really work well? The amisulpride basically increases prolactin levels, which has also made me lactate again too! :tmi:

and I just thought, does your doctor know that you are TTC?? Bcos I know that amisulpride and pregnancy don't mix.

I found that Vitex isn't a quick fix it does take a couple of cycles or months to start taking effect but it would appear that for the majority of women who use it, it works well.

Yeah my GP knows. Apparently in the BNF, it says to only use it if the benefits outweigh the risks. I am only on a small dose and the agreement is that I come off it as soon as I know I am pregnant.
