The 'shared' nursery BEFORE pictures *UPDATED 30/10*
Now I must admit I am one of those people that don't really like showing the 'before' pictures of anything I would much sooner show you a finished project but I have been asked a few times what theme I am going to do etc...so I thought it would actualy be easier to show you progression photo's than trying to explain my Shabby Chic style!
If we had bought the furniture ourselves we would have gone for white but all the furniture in this room is secondhand (given to us by my sister and my parents) I could re-spray it all white but I haven't got the time or patience for such a big project.
The colour scheme & fabrics I am using for Theo's quilt and valance are:-
and the colours/fabrics I am using for the new arrivals bumper, quilt, valance sheets etc...are:-
Any fabric left over will be used to make thing's such as nappy stacker, cot tidy and art to go on the wall. If we knew we had another year at this property then we would paint it a light shade of sage green but we won't know until Xmas whether this is the case so for now the walls have to stay a rather boring magnolia although I am hoping the wall art I have in mind will add some much needed colour and character!!

Georgi,
The room is coming along nicely, and I like your joint color schemes. I have been wondering what I am going to do. Jayden's room is not very big, and we have it filled with ALL her crap right now. Even her hanger closet space is full. I know that I'll have to really organize it well for it to work out right. Also, I'm not even sure if they should share a room. Anyway, enough highjacking your thread. Great ideas. And I love Theo's stuffed animal organizer, too cute.

You sew then, Georgi? I'm jealous! I love all the girly fabrics, but I'm a true girly girl and love pink so of course I love them! I especially like the rosebud one (2nd from left). So you'll have two cribs then?

One creative career is enough for me but thank you, it's a HUGE compliment!
Re: The 'shared' nursery BEFORE pictures *UPDATED 30/10*
Georgi, how did you make the wall letters? I was thinking of making some but don't know whether to make fabric ones or decorate some wooden ones. If I use wood, I'm not too sure what to decorate them with.
Re: The 'shared' nursery BEFORE pictures *UPDATED 30/10*
Oh I used wooden letters bought off ebay there are loads of different types/sizes/fonts to choose from and good prices too. You can't see from the picture but I painted the edges of the letters baby blue and then used scrapbook paper to cover them So easy but IMO so effective! I have already bought baby#2 name letters I'm just not sure whether I want to reveal her name or not..... (yet!)

That sound's just wonderful Sparkles. I really want to paint the walls to give the room more character but that is one thing that sucks when you rent a house you can't just paint when you feel like it!

I envy your creativity! They are lovely!
And yes, you should reveal her name

Thanks Georgi, Molly has a butterfly theme going on in her room, combined with a bit of Peppa Pig, so I want to make some hanging butterflies for her wall. I will look on ebay!

I promised I would show you pictures of the nursery as I make them so here is the quilt and bumper I am actually really proud of myself as I have never done applique before plus I had to draw the applique shapes myself which was an extra challenge! Hope you like!!
