Lets talk about contraception

What form of contraception are you using whilst waiting until the time is right to start trying for a baby?

LOL, we use the pull and pray meathod!! ha ha, the way i look at it is we are being somwehat careful and if i get pregnant again before kaydance is 1 it wont be a bad thing

I am using the FAM and the withdrawal method during my cycles. I am currently on my 4th cycle since my baby was born and so far so good although somehow we did manage to have perfectly timed BDing last cycle if we were TTC that is but we aren't we are WTTC until next year, it wouldn't have been the end of the world if I had fallen pregnant far from it I would see it as fate but in a perfect world I would like a age gap of at least 2 years between my kids.

If you are using the FAM I would love to hear from you it's nice to still obsess about your charts with someone (well at least I do!!)

i dont chart yet. i think im going to buy a bbt thermometer and start at the beginning of my next cycle though. right now we just pull out EVERY time lol! since i have no clue when i ovulate, i dont want to think we are safe and him not pull out to find out we werent really safe, ya know?

but yeah, hopefully i will start charting and then ill probably bug you all the time cause i wont have any clue as to what im doing lol!

Bug me all you like, I love chart stalking :face: I get a real buzz out of knowing when I am gearing up to ovulate but it did take a while for me to pin point the signs!

That is one thing i have never been able to understand, charting and temping, i know you take your temp etc, but thats about it!
i used a saliva microscope, Ovulation test strips and went by CM, i should try and set up and start charting, just got AF on sunday for the first time, am still breast feeding so it could come in handy, mite need some help tho!!!

We were trying for 3 years

I'm temping at the moment and we aren't being very careful at all. I really want to wait at least 4-5 years before trying for another baby and DF would rather start trying now. So I don't think we are necessarily waiting to conceive but just hoping it happens more like a surprise because TTC is sooo stressful beyond belief. The pill just has too many side effects that my body cannot deal with at the present, so let hope that I don't get a surprise too soon, but if I do, I'll still be happy.

Hey Gutter!!!

I think that is the nicest way to conceive, just having a normal sex life and letting nature take it's course of course I know that it is not that easy for many of us, you and I included but all the same if you can just go with the flow so to speak then that's wicked! We are going to actively try for a girl so we will need to observe what is going on but should we get our girl and hubby lets us try again I will most definatley just let nature takes it course!!
