Long Luteal Phase?
I have been charting on FF. I don't temp, I just go by my cycle signs. I have a 17 day luteal phase, and on average my cycles are about 32 days long.
Is it weird to have such a long luteal phase?Do you think it will be an issue for us when we start in December/Jan????

Re: Long Luteal Phase?
just curious, since you dont temp, how do you know how long your leutal phase is? it could be that you get your fertile signs and then O a few days later?
Re: Long Luteal Phase?
I ovulate at exactly 14 days into my cycle. I'm a really strong ovulator and I can feel it happening, I get a pain on the opposite side each month. Sounds weird I know. I also get a really bad headache and mood swings the day I am ovulating. I always get EWCM 1 day prior to ovulation, and also on the day of ovulation.

Re: Long Luteal Phase?
Hmmmmm....Tiff if you really want to be 100% sure to exactly when you are ovulating you will need to temp - it's the only way to be certain I had a 16 day LP whilst in the 'not' preventing stages so it is possible to have a longer LP than the typical 14 days although this is very rare. For me I also got very strong ovulation pains but through temping knew that it was typical for me to ovulate a couple of days after my last day of EWCM some cycles caught me out (especially this one LOL!!) but without temping I would have been lost.
Re: Long Luteal Phase?
Just to add.....'if' your LP is slightly longer than average it will cause no problems when it's when you have a LP shorter than 12 days it 'can' be of concern due to the fact the time is reduced in your cycle for the egg to implant. x
Re: Long Luteal Phase?
Gotcha So a little bit longer LP is not an issue
I may start temping just to know for sure.
Georgi. I love your new pink ticker!!!!
