Re: TTC'rs ,Charters and Chart Cheerleaders! 2010~
Beth, YAY for a new, fresh cycle. I know this sounds weird, but I hope you actually get a little more heavier bleeding this month and not just a really light period. Although, I had a really light one this cycle too, so who knows? Maybe that just happens sometimes? So you will for sure start the soy and the dhea on Friday then?? Wishing you tons of luck for this cycle and don't let DH have any rest!!! HEHEHEHE.
Toffee, how ARE you?? We have missed you here. I hope you are doing well. I read in the other thread that you have a new job working with the elderly. That is great news. I think you should get back to charting too!! I think that is great suggestion for Beth to try agnus castus or vitex... it has really helped a lot of ladies.
AFM, *twiddles thumbs* No "symptoms" to report at all. Just a bit of sore BB's but that is during every LP. This is the only month where i haven't felt or seen or thought I had seen any symptoms. Maybe I am just more laid back? Or I know is going to come? Who knows..... gotta wait til this weekend!

Actually has been heavier than I expected. I really wasn't expecting much but I guess I was wrong (again!). I guess can be really like on annovulatory cycles, but I did ovulate after all this time. but there's no dark or brown blood, instead very red and for lack of a better word, thin. No stringy stuff or anything. I feel that's probably good (?) and that the uterine lining wasn't all gunked up, but I'm just guessing at this. Even filled a tampon during the night which is unusual for me. Feel fine, just a little bit of a backache, but that is normal. I'll start soy isoflavones on Thursday.

lindzee, I'm great thanks! loving my new job, although I've got a cold so I don't want my old people to catch it hehe. They are really interesting to talk to, they are all in their 90's!
Beth, have you tried agnus castus before?

Re: TTC'rs ,Charters and Chart Cheerleaders! 2010~
Ugh, I have a menstrual headache today. Sucks.
Toffee, good to see you again! I've been wondering how/where you are! Glad to hear about the new job. It's sometimes tough to get established after college. I had problems myself and didn't move out of my parents' home until I was 25.
No, I've never tried agnus castus before although it's been mentioned once or twice. Maybe I should look into it.
Lindzee, I think you know better by now not to read too much into "symptoms!" Really hope these things turn into the real thing real soon. Really! lol.

Re: TTC'rs ,Charters and Chart Cheerleaders! 2010~
Beth, glad to hear that is a "good" ! if that makes sense?! LOL!! I hope that your headache feels better soon. That is no good!! Hope you don't have cramps or anything else like that!
Toffee, i have worked with the elderly before too. I was a receptionist at a retirement home for 4.5 years while I attended university. I enjoyed their stories as well. Are you going to start charting again?
Oh I know not to believe in the symptoms and get wrapped up in it, that is why I put it in quotes LOL! I really hope that these kind of non existent "symptoms" develop into something too, but not going to get my hopes up you know?
Anything I should ask or say to my OB tomorrow at my appt? We are discussing the "next step" after we go over my CD 3 blood work, etc. I don't really know what to say or if I should suggest clomid or if we should just wait and keep trying. I don't know?

Re: TTC'rs ,Charters and Chart Cheerleaders! 2010~
Oh gosh.....definitely ask the doctor what his plan is. Not the ol' well-let's-wait-and-see-what-happens.
I think you might benefit from Clomid. It might make your O more predictible.
See if you can get hubby's SA numbers. It's not the overall count but how many swim, how many swim in a forward direction, how many are misshapen, etc.
Does he suggest getting an HSG done to check the condition of your tubes? Wait, you just had that done, right? Gosh, I'm getting forgetful in my old age...
AFM, had that damn headache all day despite the headache pills. Just a dull ache now though. I don't really get cramps very often, mostly just a mild backache. is drying up now. Only using a panty liner. Probably won't be anything or anything much tomorrow.

Re: TTC'rs ,Charters and Chart Cheerleaders! 2010~
Bethie - is your headache better today?? Hope so!
Thanks for the advice with the doc. Everything went really well this afternoon. I am really happy with him. He said that all my CD 3 tests came back normal. Which I am happy with and I thought that was what it would be. Although I would have liked there to be a little "issue" to easily fix, but oh well. There is nothing wrong! [With me or Dh... apparently he has higher than average numbers on all counts, but I didn't get the exact numbers]
So my OB said, let's try the clomid and he will write a letter to refer me to the RE just in case this doesn't pan out.
Looks like I will be starting the clomid next week! i was actually kind of excited because there is a PLAN now and we are moving onwards and upwards. I like my OB's positive attitude. He left saying i hope you are calling me soon to book your pregnancy appointment! I hope so too!

Do you know what dose of Clomid he's starting you on? Probably 50mg, CD3-7 since that's the usual way to start out. Any ultra-sounds while on Clomid? Some doctors do, some don't. I never had any. 7DPO progesterone test?

You are almost a mind reader Beth, LOL!! You are good!
Hehe. I am prescribed 50 mg on CD 2-6. [What is the difference for starting different days??] No ultrasounds, and yes a CD 21 [7 DPO] test to make sure I ovulated.
I love a plan!

Start taking your supplements now Beth? How is the weekend going?
A little bit of a temp rise for me today.....hmmmmm. Trying not to read too much into it, as will likely arrive tomorrow. But I will be okay with that because then i can start the clomid!!

Re: TTC'rs ,Charters and Chart Cheerleaders! 2010~
Hmmmmmm, interesting chart, Lindzee......!
I meant to start taking at least the remainder of the Herbs for Her supplements but haven't gotten around to making up the daily packets. I have continued with the DHEA, and I started again on soy isoflavones on Thursday. I've taken 150-160mg in the past and wanted to up it to 200mg (think I've done that before). So I grab the bottle from the cupboard and look at it. I can't believe I didn't notice this last time, but the chart says that each serving is 50mg and a serving is 5 capsules! OMG, so each capsule only is 10mg and I need to take 15 to 20 of them then? Well, I only had 17 so I took 15(!) of them Thursday. Did my grocery shopping on Friday and intended to buy more....except the only brand I found was the same stuff I already had. I KNOW I've taken a different brand/different doseage before.
So after grocery shopping I go to Walgreens. Absolutely NOTHING there. I go to CVS. Absolutely no soy isoflavones there either. Finally found some at Walmart today, 25mg per capsule so that's better. Only took 20mg total last night though because it was all I had left. Oh well. We'll see what happens.

Re: TTC'rs ,Charters and Chart Cheerleaders! 2010~
I can't believe the tablets were only 10 mg each! That is nuts. The ones I have are 50 mg, wish I could send them to you since I dont use them - they didn't help me at all! I am glad that you were able to get some different ones. Maybe it is enough to just use the DHEA and the isoflavones? Come on Beth's eggies!!!
Yeah, my chart is um, interesting. i thought about testing this morning when I saw my temp [usually on 13 dpo it is 97.9 or lower...] But then I remembered Murphy's Law and that when you test the day before your is due, then it comes the next day. Better to just wait and see what tomorrow brings. See? I am a good girl and don't need smacking, LOL!

Re: TTC'rs ,Charters and Chart Cheerleaders! 2010~
Well it seems I CAN ovulate on my own, even without soy, without accupuncture, although those seem to help. So I really think I need a better egg (low progesterone on a non-medicated cycle points to that) and I really hope DHEA can help with that. A fertility clinic in Chicago uses it as part of their treatment of women with DOR (diminished ovarian reserve -- quite likely me) and POV (premature ovarian failure -- possibly me).
