a little nervous, just pray for me

Hi ladies. I don't wanna tell my family yet but I wanted to tell someone. I have an appt today at 1 for my first mammogram because I've found a lump. my doc wanted me to go right away to get a mammo and I'm just really scared. Ill let u know. I don't want my parents and siblings to worry but I'm really nervous ill keep u posted. Just think of us and pray its NOTHING!!!!!

Hey ladies. Well since I am still nursing they won't do a mammo, but they did an u/s and they feel it but don't see it??? So I am waiting to maybe see a surgeon who will palpate it and see if I need a biopsy. Sorry for the typos. On my phone. But anyway, I'm ok, just don't know what this is still... Ill let u know. Thank u! Don't say anything on fb cuz I haven't told my family.

Ginny - I found a lump about 9 months ago and I was TERRIFIED!!!!! I went to my doctor and she immediately sent me down for a mammogram - and her concern really scared me but it turned out to be nothing. They said it's common to find lumps in the tissue of breastfeeding/post breasting feed mothers. They also said caffeine contributes to lumps.
I'm certainly not making light of your situation but just telling you my story to give you some hope and help you stay calm!

that's great news lou lou!! i hope mine is the same i had actually forgotten that my little sis had a fybroid a few years ago and she had it taken out. the verdict is that i go to the surgeon on wednesday at 11 and he'll palpate it or whatever and see what he thinks. just in case it was a clogged duct i tried to get thane to get teh ball out, but he didn't want to...its like "no comprende...no ingles" when i say something that he doesn't like but that's ok. i don't think its a duct anyway it doesn't hurt like one does...but i am ok. had a fun night with everyone at the house. thane is in his bed and bubba is in teh baby bed below him on the floor LOL sweet sweet bubba i am so blessed. goodnight!

Hey hunny,I JUST saw this.I am sorry you have been worried.I also found 2 lumps in my left breast about 7 years ago...one was 1cm across and the other was just a few mm in diameter.I FREAKED out for 2 days beofre I could have my scan (no mamogram for me) and when the guys looked at them he said they were nothing to worry about.I had them all the way up until last year (maybe when I started eating healthier?) and then I can't feel them anymore.Other wise when I was BFing Teo they did go away and then came back after I was done.This time I can't find them *shrug* ah well.They are very common and althoguh initially scary,9 times out of ten,just fybroids that are harmless! Big hugs sweety.I am surte you are fine xxxxxxxxx

p.s 'palpate' is just a code word for 'feel up' If I were your dr I would recommend monthly or even weekly '
palpations' teehee! Glad you had a good night with the boys! <3

Thank you everyone Good news, went to the surgeon and he said that he feels it, it feels benign, less than a .1% chance of anything malignant so we will watch it the next few months and if it changes, he'll biopsy it. he feels that i am fine and it is more than likely do to nursing thane still. I guess after 2.5 years of nursing there is going to be something up with your boobs - besides 1 foot long nipples - JK!

but anyway, i am ok and am happy with his verdict thank you for being there! i was freakin out at first! xxxx

wow Nicki- how is that going nursing both? i though breast milk changed according to your childs age, i didnt know you could do this, i guess i was wrong!! good for you hun. Is it hard work or does Kian really only have milk at night??
