OK,so I had a home birth,it was a wonderful experience.I had planned to use hypnosis for my pain relief but I think my labour started and intensified very quickly so I was not able to get into my relaxation state.Anyway,I had a midwife and her assitant,my mother and my husband present.my labour did not last long,I had no tearing (even though she was 8lbs) my son was 5lbs7oz and I tore a lot becaus he had to be pulled out quickly (the cord was around his neck twice)

Everything was so gentle and peaceful (apart from my shouting LOL) but the moment she was born,we held her and just chilled out at home,it was wonderful!I would love to hear of other peoples home birth experiences!

Sounds beautiful Holi! Wish I could have that next time but I live too far away from the hospital and as it will be a vbac it is just a bit too risky. I am hoping that I can have a hands off type approach to my next labour though, I do believe it is better for the labour's success.
