Baby Solid Feeding schedule?
So what is your feeding schedule for your baby? What do they eat? How much do they eat? When do they eat?
I feed L.M. rice cereal with a fruit puree mixed in, in the morning, around 8:30 a.m. I feed her lunch, some kind of meat jar, like sweet potatoes and chicken, ect, around 12:30 p.m.
Then for dinner right before she goes down for bed, she gets sweet potatoes and rice cereal again.
Most days I give her some rice cereal in between lunch and dinner, because she is such a big girl. I don't know exactly what she weighs, since we don't have health insurance right now, but she has out grown her carrier car seat. I find on the days I don't give her this small extra helping of rice cereal, that she sleeps worse than usual at night.

Re: Baby Solid Feeding schedule?
Here is K's schedule:
7:00am ( milk @ home) - Nurses approx. 3-4 oz.
9:00am ( breakfast @ daycare) - 4 oz Fruit w/cereal
* Breastmilk or water if thirsty/hungry before lunch - approx. 3-4 oz *
12:00pm ( lunch @ daycare) - 4 oz veggie/meat and 4 oz fruit
2:00pm ( "snack" milk @ home or daycare - my lunch break) - Nurses approx. 4-5 oz
5:00pm ( dinner @ home) - 4 oz veggie/meat and sometimes 2 or 3 oz fruit
6:00pm (milk @ home) - Nurses approx 3-4 oz
8:00-9:00pm ( milk @ home - bedtime) - Nurses approx. 4 oz
K usually gets around 20 oz of breastmilk per day. I always give cereal for breakfast, whether it's mixed w/fruit or milk. She needs the iron. And of course she's allowed to have breastmilk or water anytime throughout the day if she's thirsty or hungry and its not mealtime. I started her on 3 solid meals a day from the very beginning when I started giving her solids and it has worked well for us. If she does happen to wake up in the night (which still happens once or twice a week), I will nurse her back to sleep and put her back in bed and she's usually good til morning.

hmmm, well our schedual is a bit different, cause kaydance is in daycare mon-fri! lol, so its easy for me.
kaydance wont eat any baby foods from me or DF. no matter how we try to disguise them or what, she just wont. she will eat big people food off of a spoon or fork for us, but not baby food. but the thing is she will eat the baby food at daycare for her teachers!!! lol, i dont know why, but im just happy that shes getting the rice cereal and the fruit/veggie purees during the week.
she will usually have rice cereal and fruit in the am around 8:30 at daycare, and then another fruit or a veggie in the afternoon sometimes whenever shes hungry. in between she will normally have some wagon wheels or yogurt drops or something like that. then when she gets home, she will pretty much just eat whatever we are having for dinner, unless its a lazy night or we are not eating particularly healthy, then i will heat her up like a gerber lil entree. she will eat those for me!! hehe. she likes them a lot too, and because she is so young, the entree will last two nights.
i cant help you with the size of the meals, cause truthfully i dont know how much she eats at a time at daycare, i think its more a supply and demand type of thing though, lol they just let her eat it till she doesnt want any more!!
thats what i do at home anyways!

Re: Baby Solid Feeding schedule?
oh and the milk of course, she drinks usually 4-5 bottles a day, anywhere from 6-8 oz. most days just the (4) 8oz bottles will do it, but occassionally she wont want 8 oz all at once, so she will have around 5 bottles with about 6oz each lol. we really arent on a strict schedual!
