I plan on breastfeeding exclusively for the first 6 weeks. Then I'll probably pump too, because my husband--who is already taking a very active role in this pregnancy--will want to be involved in other ways besides changing diapers.

yeah, and I have no idea if my plans will actually work out successfully. I hope so though! Formula is expensive, and I really don't want to go that route!

I am hoping I can do the 6 weeks, I tried with Ryan and it wasn't succesful so tried pumping, but because he was born 2 weeks early the midwife seems to think he may have struggled with the latching on part, also he latched on and fell asleep lol !!

Yea, I look at it the same it depends on how things work out I am still going to buy bottles etc... just in case we need them.

also we have started stocking up on diapers since about 9 or 10 weeks we buy one pack per week so when baby gets here we will not have to worry about diapers also my mom and sis buy somthing each weeks as well.

I'm hoping to breastfeed all the way.
I may pump and save some for emergencies or so that DF can feed as well, but I don't like the idea of using formulas.

Also intending to use cloth diapers.

hi, i not pregnant but i just wanted to say cloth mappies, i have got so many of them, just the square cloth ones no fancy ones, just the ones our parents used on us (so many different cloth nappies out now) anyway, i have tried using them, but do you think i can fold the bloody things! then after 20 mins of trying to put it on and finally getting it done up, he pees, attggghhh, i really have wanted to use them while he has his awake time as he is up a couple of hours and only use disposables at bedtime and nap time, so if anyone has an easy way to fold nappies, i would be very interested!

I've been looking online... here's one site I found for folding.

I'm wanting to go with a combination of regular square cloth diapers and some of the all-in-ones that are just like disposeables but cloth and washable instead, just for times when we're out and don't have time/energy to fold.
