Sleep Sense Programme
Remind me what is the sleep sense programme? To be fair I am lucky and don't seem to have any issues with Theo sleeping but my friend is having problems with her LO and I remembered there was this Sleep Sense Programme.

Re: Sleep Sense Programme
I totally thought I didn't have the heart to let LM cry it out. But I did it for 3 nights, and FINALLY she is sleeping longer. I think mostly babies wake up out of habit, not hunger. Crying it out can definitely work, it's just heartbreaking for the parents. However, a few nights of tears is worth it when you start getting some sleep.

Re: Sleep Sense Programme
As hard as it is, it is worth it in the end. and you just have to remember they can not move or harm themselves and are in a safe place. also the crying is good exercise and really wears them out. Im happy kiers sleeps 12 hours a night, I would be a zombie!
Who has actually used the sleep sense program?

Re: Sleep Sense Programme
I don't seem to have any problems with Molly sleeping through the night but she does wake up sooo early. Sometimes she will have some milk and go back to sleep but more often than not, she want to play! If I bring her to bed and fall asleep, she blows in my face to wake me. I don't let her scream when I put her to sleep at night but she will moan for a while. I don't see any harm in leaving her, it's just their way of communicating. If I kept picking her up, she would never sleep. I think babies all have their own ways, I just need to find Molly's way to get her to wake up later, he he.

Re: Sleep Sense Programme
Thankfully we never had any problems with ryan sleeping at night, he loved it, he was sleeping through from 8 weeks and and by his bedtime he was sleepy, we just put him in his cot and in 5/10 mins of talking to his teddies was asleep til about 7 in the morning
I have known many people try this method and it does work, as heartbreaking as it can be, it does them no harm.

Re: Sleep Sense Programme
I have learnt that it is a MUST to put baby to bed when they are awake to teach them to self settle and put themselves to sleep, I know people who have rocked baby to sleep and it has taken ages for their wee ones to sleep thru.
